    Community First Credit Union

An email to community first…read more... I have been a member of this bank for twenty years. I have a pretty big issue at the moment. I took out a personal loan approximately 4 years ago for approximately 4k. Community first set up and payments and I set up auto payments not to miss one. I get to the nearing of completion on this loan, which previously was two separate payments at 100 dollars each per month. 3 years, no issues. When my loan got smaller, I've noticed that community first stopped allowing the auto withdrawal of 2 separate payments, and wanted their APR for the whole term. All of the sudden, instead of keeping the scheduled 100 payments, it just stopped because my balance was around 200 dollars. Ok, dirty business, but I understand. Make your money off your member. Need your interest. Fantastic. I missed an EIGHTEEN dollar minimum payment I guess two months ago. Over 30 days. Well, I have two accounts with community first, checking and savings. Am I led to believe you couldn't access my account to retrieve this ridiculous payment? I have EIGHTEEN dollars in all of my communty first accounts. Please help yourself for EIGHTEEN dollars when we you'd like. My issue now becomes a larger one. My own bank turned me into the credit bureau for missing an EIGHTEEN dollar payment after taking 200 a month from me no problem. Without fail. So because my own bank turned me in for EIGHTEEN dollars, my credit score dropped nearly 100 points due to this. I'm currently attempting to buy a home. Thank you so much for killing my credit score over EIGHTEEN dollars that was obviously in my account. I'd ask you to please remove this late payment from my credit score immediately if you would be so kind. If not, I guess I'll take my banking elsewhere because this is embarrassing for not only me, but more embarrassing for community first in my opinion. I don't see this removed from my credit report, I will be withdrawing my accounts and any business I do with community first and will be more than happy to post a review. Your own bank will sell you out over EIGHTEEN dollars. Thank you so much for your concern to this embarrassing matter. Their response... Thank you for your message. To better serve you and answer your question, I advise calling us at 904-354-8537 to speak directly to one of our member service representatives to discuss your options in full. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Morris Eservice Representative My response: I'm not calling anyone. I will obviously go up the chain of command to deal with this issue. Please send me your supervisors info. Clearly this is a no factor at this level. Glad your credit score wasn't ruined over 18 dollars. I'd like an answer who your supervisor is by the close of business Mr Morris. Thank you and have a great day, Their response: NONE I would never do any banking with this group. Dragged my loan out and didn't allow my 100 dollar 2x a month payment so they could drag this loan out and pocket more interest. For EIGHTEEN dollars they turned me in to the credit bureau. Literally embarrassing

I have been with Wells Fargo since 1994, but only in Douglas for 4 years. Normally when I go into…read moreor call this bank, I get excellent service. However, this morning, I called in and spoke with a young lady named Brittany. I was extremely happy to reach someone because calling customer service is very difficult most times due to language barriers, so it's better to speak with the local branch. Anyhow, I noticed almost immediately, she seemed annoyed to take a call as soon as the bank opened. I briefly explained my issue to her, and as soon as it was known my issue would require adjustments, she cuts me off and tells me to call the 800 number. She says there is nothing she can do and that even if I came in, they'd have to call the 800 number. When I tell her I've been there several times and my same issue was resolved by tellers in the bank; she became annoyed and more impatient, continuing to cut me off. So much so, that I finally asked her if she could hear me okay, or if there was a delay because it seemed as though she was repeatedly talking over me before I could complete a request or further questioning. I explained to her that I've always called when I was unable to come in and if she could please let me speak she'd better understand my request. She then went into saying she can't authenticate me over the phone, to which I replied I've been verified by the local branch over the phone several times in the past and that this is the first time this has happened. Her attitude just became worse and more impatient. I finally just asked for her name and politely terminated the call. Any other time I would go up there but my vehicle is in the shop. Perhaps she'd have known that if she wasn't so busy cutting me off and being so rude. I understand we all have bad days, but a customer wanting help doesn't deserve to have someone's bad morning taken out on them. Sometimes patience and listening is much easier than claiming you are forebidden from discussing accounts over the phone, which is not true or local banks would not have a reason to allow customers to call the local banks at all. Plus, having been a long time customer, I've discussed my account many times over the phone so I knew this was not true. Bottom line, this unfortunate experience was very disappointing because it could have been handled much better than it was. I hope the young lady's day gets better and that she realizes that just reciprocating kindness and manners can lead to a much better day.
