The pierogis were very tasty, being filling, balanced, and well-cooked, served with side salads. The buckwheat dish was the highlight, however, with an incredible array of flavours and textures. The only thing that I'm not crazy about are cakes - I've tried two different kind and while they are plesantly tart and not overly sweet, they are to heavy and little to dry for my tastes. The thing that makes this place one of my favorite though is the service, quick and very friendly but not overly pushy. However I suspect that's not the point of this shop. The flavor is completely different. They use soy milk as base but it is not very apparent. I tried miso ramen and I do like how they tried to mimic the chashu's visual appearance using sliced yam. However I'd like to see them take it to next level and use vegan friendly meat substitute that actually tastes like chashu. if you are nearby it's worth popping in. however if you are meat based ramen person craving meat flavor , there are probably other places.
