We took our puppy there for socialization and obedience training. It's a dog club that trains therapy dogs and provides classes for dogs of every age and size. A nonprofit, the trainers volunteer their time, and the price for a 45-minute class is very affordable €5, which goes to supporting the club. Puppy classes are held every Saturday, 9am for puppies destined to be over 42 cm and 10am for those below. Our trainer is Janine, a veterinarian student, who is dedicated and involved. Our puppy being quite rambunctious, we asked if she could bring in her own matured dog for a little correction. She did and it had a good effect in teaching our dog better manners, because the next day she did behaved better with older dogs we met on our walks. Janine even knows the temperament and particular issues of a shiba inu, a breed still rare in Germany. The puppy training enclosure is well maintained. The day we attended, there was an obstacle course to help the dogs get used to various objects they will encounter in life - pebbles, stones, wooden bridge, curtain of cans, bubble wrap, foil etc. Our puppy had lots of fun and played off-leash to his heart's delight with the other "students." Whilst there you can even get a cup of coffee (50 cents) or a sandwich roll. read more
