The atmosphere in the store is relaxed and nice, and the proper dressed employees are welcoming and helpful. There is however something about this brand, that was fun, playful and represented something new in the beginning of Moods of Norway's success story, that hasn't been very appealing to me the later years. They still have items from time to time that I like, but it is not one of the stores that I find necessary to visit looking for something new. This weekend I dropped by with my friends and found that they have quite cute kids wear, so maybe I'll find a few presents in the future.

I tried on a few with more subtle and modern patterns which looks pretty good as I love blue... In the ladies department you can find: Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga, Chloe, Mulberry, Dolce & Gabbana etc. And in the mens department: Prada, Christian Louboutin, Mulberry, Dior, etc, plus an amazing selection of suits. They have two big sales every year, in January and July I believe, and people usually line up outside before it opens, it's that popular! For 130 NOK or about $13 US Dollars I bought a soda can, loaf of bread, and 2 sandwiches. If I bought this at the fish market it would have cost $50 at least. That was done quickly!…read more I think I've only been visiting Kløverhuset for specific shops the latter years, cause when I revisited on Saturday for "shopping" with friends, I was disappointed and surprised to experience how boring it us. I think the highlights are the dress shop Coast, the Day Birger et Mikkelsen on the first floor and the Netty lingerie in the basement. You will also find nice, expensive designer's wear at Scabal, but there's a high risk that you will find the same clothes on every second 14-year-old in the city, who's parents have either too much money or bad conscience, or a combination of the two. The centre is the oldest in the city, dating back to 1852, so I'm cheering on Kløverhuset and hope they find a better mix of shops and services to put themselves back into the game.

Spacious and quiet, this is somewhere you can walk around minding your own business when looking and it is hardly ever a wait for the fitting rooms. The service varies a bit based on who is working, but in general it is helpful and pleasant. Retro is on the corner one block away from Torgallmenningen and just just a two-three minutes' walk from one of the entrances of the large underground parking garage Klostergarasjen.

I originally wanted to visit because I had read they carry Lucky Boy Sunday dolls here; they had a few which were very cute but expensive. Many adorable children's backpacks, bags, dishes, cups, baby and toddler toys, books, etc. We bought Pippi Longstocking picture books here for our nieces, along with some Elsa Beskow printed sippy cups. Lots of high quality, adorable toys to indulge in. This was my favorite children's store we saw while visiting Scandinavia. The people who work here were very sweet and gift wrapped our presents free of charge.
