In…read moreaddition to long wait times before each appointment, I recently tried to get a fairly time-sensitive prescription renewed and was told since it had been almost a year since my last visit, it couldn't be done. Aren't most basic eye exams scheduled yearly? This was disappointing and a little maddening too! I called my optometrist (out of state). who always puts patients' needs first, and she called me back at 5:45 to refill my prescription. I called my Retina doctor in Medford, OR, who said I needed to be seen by an ophthalmologist asap. He and I researched that there was an ophthalmologist (maybe the only one!) located in Jackson, WY. I called Dr. Ramsay's office at 7:15am. I was able to be seem at 10am that day. After my exam, he referred me to a retina specialist in Idaho Falls, ID, about 90 miles away. He took the time to answer all my many questions with as much information as I could process, unlike my first eye exam which felt more like a fast food drive through. I was mostly there on the request of my primary care physician because of high blood pressure. I am lucky to have good eyes, but the blood vessels in your eyes can tell about cardio health, and I was happy to find out mine looked good. Hole Family Eyecare will be my go-to for annual exams and any other eye care needs.
