It saved me around 25 miles (45km) of driving, mostly on small local roads. It also gave me a nice view of the lake. The operators were very efficient, and we left shortly after driving on board. My only complaint is they charged a bit more than I'd like and in addition to the charge for our vehicle, they charged us separately for each person inside it. If you take on the car, it shouldn't matter how many people are inside it. Whatever. It got us to Meersburg far faster than driving around the lake and we got a nice view of the lake, shore and nearby mountains in the process.

Despite the curvy roads, we felt safe. The information our guides gave was informative. The -1 star was because they combined the English and Spanish tours into one. Our guides repeated everything they said in 2 languages so it kinda broke the flow of the tour and made it more difficult to have conversations with them.

The stops are well-planned for bio breaks and stretches. The tour was well with the money, not overly expensive in Zurich.

There is even a ferry that will take you to the opposite shore in Switzerland. I didn't take the ferry, however, I saw advertisements for it. That is an adventure I'll take next time. It is very easy to travel from here to Austria, Liechtenstein and, of course, Switzerland. A bit farther away are both France and Italy . Must be some wonderful train rides to these countries through mountain villages and natural scenery. A good place to start your mountain adventures!

It's one of the most beautiful scenic boat rides we did. Europass eurial had discounts to this route. We did first class with more spacious decks than second. Overall, it doesn't matter. Must recommend this to spend 1 hour of ride when you are in luzern. The small neighborhoods in each stop are so beautiful to watch.

Yet, this was still a fun trip to get to Mount Pilatus.
