Great options and combinations but the end product was just OK. Restaurant was clean and orderly. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Taco Plate: Steak Fajita Taco, (SM) Chips and Queso, Draft Beer
Elena A.

I'm from Texas and fairly picky. I *would* come back here for tacos. The seasoning has the perfect kick to it. The rice and beans were acceptable, the queso was mid. I'll make a point to try the guac and salsa in the future. If they play Packers games this year, we may make it a weekly thing. Boyfriend also enjoyed his steak and blackened chicken street tacos. The steak really is amazing, chicken was average but still a fine taco. They also have pretty good deals on the drafts.

Carne asada taco street taco, Blackened Shrimp Street Taco and (SM) Chips and Queso

Great food and the service was quick even tho it was lunch time. My only thing with this place is that the salsa is not spicy at all. But overall it was good!

They use to be sooooo good. We went nearly every week. However, they choose to nearly close every location so we stopped going. We stopped in today. The queso now is nacho cheese out of a can, margeritta taste like water, service is terrible not one person stayed once all location started closing. Pico taste like rotel, the season on the chips also changed to im very unsure. Instead of portions to fill one up you get maybe 1/4 cup of rice in the bowls and no tortillas anymore. This sealed it for us not to return after spending so much money there weekly.

Barbacoa Beef Nacho no BBQ sauce
Teresa M.

First time at Voodoo Taco. The girl at the register was very helpful and willing to answer questions and give suggestions. I decided on the Barbacoa nachos without the BBQ sauce. I'm so happy I kept that off because it would have given me BBQ beef vibes. The nachos were so so so good. Queso was awesome and so were the chips, loved the beef. The girl working offered us 2 different salsas- habanero and regular. Also a southwest ranch. All 3 were a great addition to my nachos. My husband got a brisket burrito which he also enjoyed. Just make sure you read exactly what is on these menu items because they can be taken off. Lately I have been disappointed going to new places, but I will be coming back here. I really enjoyed my meal!

Very friendly staff. Veteran friendly offering military discount. Unique menu. Alligator taco was yum !! Also had the fried avocado taco and the jackfruit taco. Yummy in my tummy!! Very clean restaurant. Enforcing the wearing of masks. Once you order, your given a number and the server will bring out your food to the table. Visiting from out of town and I was happy with this as a lunch option.

Sad...I have been away from omaha for a little bit but the Barbados taco with avocado, crispy onion and sauce was the best. Theiught that is what I was getting . Go back to the old way

Flavor was really good it just takes too damn long for tacos. The price was also outrageous. Sorry but the taste don't out beat the price.

It's super cute inside, with so many bright colors, neat Día de los Muertos murals along the walls, colorful pendants strung on top of the dining area, and a very cool bar with a patterned, arched shelves. Even the dishes and cups are fabulous, with earthenware mugs, blue Talavera style dishes and bowls, and even branded El Milagro margarita glasses. Now more importantly, the FOOD is just as good as the decor and the dishware. They use extra high quality ingredients, and everything is always served hot and fresh. We have had the birria, nachos, street tacos, flautas, and so many other things when we branch out and try something new. Their drink options are also great, with strong margaritas, crisp cervesas, and tasty cocktails. The service is always fantastic, and they are always hopping with customers, so you know you found a good spot. Best of all, you get pretty large portions, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like some of the newer Mexican restaurants in town. Next time you're thinking about heading to the Texas Roadhouse area, skip the Roadhouse and try El Milagro instead! I guarantee you will not regret your decision.

However, unlike other Mexican restaurants you do have to pay for additional salsa. I went with a house margarita and the benveza beer, and both were good and cold. I went with the steak picaditas. I hadn't had them before but they were similar to a torta, except the base is a very thick corn tortilla. I like the flavor of the steak, tortilla, sour cream and veggies combined. My husband got the birria platter and liked it. It's very similar to Javi's birria. Overall everything was good.

Our waitress even took my kids to the topping bar for me so I could stay enjoying my meal. They also have a shaker margarita that was BOMMB!! Waitstaff was pretty busy and that explained the wait to order and lack of utensils after the food arrived. I tried the fajitas Texana after reading reviews and found that they were pretty bland and served with grocery style tortillas (likely made with stabilizers to give it a spongy feel). My son was pleased with his Cuban Torta and my husband liked the carnitas. The biggest plus was the serving size of every dish was enough for 2 meals for most people. I'd go back again but try something different.

This last visit they had the entire restaurant decorated for Valentine's Day coming up. But, besides the additional decorations the overall vibe is what you would expect for a Mexican restaurant but more. The service has been friendly and fast! The original Margarita is very good and for the price its about 3 servings. The complementary chips & salsa is great and more of a forgotten service nowadays, but great to see that Alegre is still doing it. The homemade tortilla chips are so good so be careful to not fill up on these before the main entrees. Kendra got the Chile Verde which was massive and was enough food for leftovers the next day. And, I had the Ceviche Sampler which is new and definitely worth every penny! It's hard to find restaurants that have ceviche on the menu, but this has been one of my favorites if you love seafood and a repeater for me! If your looking for more of an upscale $$ Mexican restaurant with great food, service and ambiance it's hard to beat El Muchacho Alegre.

The tacos I had were very warm and very filling, I was able to take some home for lunch the next day. The Cantarita was ok, seemed like it wasn't something that is usually made and it seemed more like it came in a bowl than the typical dish ware. The servers were very friendly and was able to help out when we had questions. The place itself was very well decorated and didn't seem cluttered. They have a lot of metallic art so that was pretty cool.

I had three street tacos and then two basic hard and soft tacos. I started with the basics, and was very impressed. The meat was nice and flavorful and somehow seemed....soft? I was initially bummed looking at them because I thought "just lettuce and meat?" But there's some fantastic cheese hidden under the lettuce. The shells were the perfect soft and a crunch. I would love to just have a few of these for the meal and be good! I had the three street tacos- steak, pastor, and carnitas. I was pleased with all three! When we got the bill, it's noted that there's a discount if you pay with cash, but no added fee for paying with a card; so keep that in mind.
