This one on Broadway is my favorite Voodoo locations, but it can be crowded and certainly difficult to find parking at peak times. Luckily, last night we hit the sweet spot (Saturday at 8:30pm) and got a killer parking space and were also the only customers when we entered! Good thing about it being generally busy, though, is that they have to constantly bake fresh doughnuts to keep up. The place is well-designed to move people through. Our server was sooooo darn pleasant that she made what was already a great night even better. Voodoo has many, many unique doughnuts, and although I have tried quite a few, (and you should, too) I am a generally doughnut purist. The nice thing about Voodoo as compared to other "artisan" shops is that they do not ignore the classics. My most recent order was Raspberry Romeo, Blueberry Cake, and Glazed Old-Fashioned. All were fresh and delicious. Thanks, Voodoo!

DINERS BEWARE! I'm sad to write this review, but need to warn other diners and let the business know: We had a guest in town and stopped here for donuts. We'd hyped it up and were excited for our guest to try Voodoo. Unfortunately, after getting one of the donuts home and having a bite, we discovered there was A PIECE OF WIRE IN THE DONUT, which was discovered when chewing. This is extremely dangerous if swallowed. The wire can cause internal damage. I'm only familiar with this as a risk when using a wire brush to clean a grill -- I have no idea how that would be the case at a donut shop. We are hoping we caught the (only?) wire and didn't inadvertently consume any pieces in other donuts on that visit or during past trips. Super scary and I don't understand idea how wire would end up in baked goods. I don't feel safe to return to this location again and needed to give a heads-up to others.

This Voodo was great! Reminded me of home and allowed me to show people I was with their doughnuts. The service here was also great the lady working was one of the nicest and friendliest I've encountered from this franchise. I also really like the set up of the inside, it was very roomy with all the typical Voodoo touches.

Just a normal donut spot with cool flavors. Not any better or worse than a Dunkin donut in terms of donut quality. But I really liked the different options. They didn't have a couple ones available that were on their menu so we both got our second choices: churro cheesecake and Oreo mudslide.

After a brief morning walk on Broadway in the Baker neighborhood, I came to Voodoo Donut. They offer simple and extravagant donuts. Prices are reasonable. I chose a blueberry cake and a cinnamon sugar. The blueberry was moist and tasted like a Betty Crocker blueberry muffin. The cinnamon sugar donut had the just right balance of cinnamon and sugar. I ordered at the counter and my order was ready quickly. Lots of room inside. No patio.

There is no better way to reward yourself after a walk around Wash Park than a fat doughnut at VooDoo. There, I said it! After doing exactly that, my friend and I opted to stop in for a sweet treat and landed on two different types of doughnuts. A maple bacon topped doughnut and a berry filled cream doughnut - both of which were made with love and delicious!! A must try in Denver!

First time trying VD, though I've always seen it around in various cities. Ordered the following flavors: + cinnamon sugar cake + maple bar + Double chocolate + Vicious hibiscus + The Homer + chocolate glazed Cinnamon sugar cake was my favorite, followed by the maple bar. Overall I wasn't terribly impressed though - would rather get my treats fix at Reunion or another bakery.

Voo Doo Donuts is one of my favorite places to go, and I don't get there nearly enough. I hadn't been to the one on Broadway, and it's now my preferred location because of the seating area. They have lots of windows to do some people watching while getting your sugar fix beneath the beautiful chandeliers. The room has cement floors that added to the noise of the metal chairs being scraped around, but I still enjoyed being able to eat right there. My Portland Cream donut was soft and delicious with lots of custard inside. The chocolate cake donut was also very good. Granted, I've never had a donut that wasn't excellent at Voo Doo. We also had a cup of coffee that was a little bitter but it could have been because it was sitting in the pot on the counter too long. So - I can't help but wonder how many visits I'll need to make to try all their varieties.

I stopped into the Voodoo Doughnuts location on South Broadway on a busy night to get doughnuts to go, and service was friendly and patient with me as I decided what to get! I had been to Voodoo Doughnuts on a trip to Portland 7 years ago and had not been there since, so I was excited to re-try this famous gem. There are so many options to choose from, even if you're vegan! The doughnuts are biiiiig, so they're great for sharing. The cake doughnuts are so good. You end up cutting a piece for yourself, and then another one, and another one... you get it. The south broadway location is super cute and retro. I'd definitely come back!

My family and I love Voodoo Doughnut because of the vegan options. My son is severely allergic to milk and one of my daughters is allergic to egg. This is one of the few places we all can enjoy donuts together safely. We love the vegan Dirt, raised glazed, chocolate ring, and maple bar. They taste like regular donuts. The size of each justifies the price. We prefer this location because it's closest to home and also not full of bums/construction like the original location. I hope more locations will open up in the future because delicious vegan donuts are hard to come by. The staff is always very knowledgeable and friendly as well. I think they are careful with keeping vegan donuts from regular donuts.

Of the four locations in the Denver metro area, (one now on Concourse B at the airport), this is the one location I visit the most often as I always get great service and delicious, melt-in-your-mouth donut concoctions. The location along Broadway always has a great view for people watching- both in and outside of the store. My favorite donut is the "Homer" an homage to the great Simpsons' donut. Also in the order was a chocolate round and maple bar. These are incredibly sweet and always hit the spot.

Good donuts and selection. No dedicated parking (seems to be typical for voodoo locations). Minus 2 stars for stacking frosted donuts on top of each other, guaranteeing the frosting is messed up for all but the top donuts. read more

I have visited their shop in Portland, but this was my first time in Denver. Got the curbside service friendly and fast! The donuts were very fresh and HUGE! Oh and they look and taste great too! This is the place to go for your donut fix! Tip: if you get curbside...you will want to order an extra Donut...for the drive home :D read more

We stopped here for the first time ever on a cross country trip from Virginia to Washington, and our visit did not disappoint! The donuts were amazing and the customer service was even better. Andy convinced us to get an assorted dozen donuts (for a great deal), and we were so happy with our purchase. We got to try a little of everything. Andy also took the time to explain every donut to us, and even talked to us about the rest of our trip and what route we should take to our next stop (his recommendation for that was great, too). Overall, a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone, ESPECIALLY if Andy is there! read more

Very trendy and edgy doughnut shop with an array of interesting flavors, fillers & toppings for their homemade doughnuts. Follow the line of people in a zombie like daze ( maybe sugar coma) LoL walking on the street with the big pink cake boxes to the hole in the wall store with the neon sign. The doughnuts are on the upper scale price wise. We paid $33 for a box of doughnuts , but we couldn't choose and wanted to try several taste combinations. There is quite a diverse crowd that can be found here and you'll see some incredible people who love doughnuts. When you walk into the shop there is the immediate blast of loud music that may take you by surprise, but it's part of the VooDoo experience I guess. The pink tower glass front turntables are filled with the variety of doughnuts each labeled with fun, unique names like "Memphis Mafia" a deep fried banana fritter covered with yummies. Maybe the VooDoo doll names for the shape with a pretzel daggered into the doughnut assimilating an actual voodoo doll. So many fun names! Great to go with a crowd to experience some of the local creative eateries. read more

I am a teacher and I used to get donuts for my students from the VooDoo donuts on Colfax- pre-pandemic. We were testing this week so I wanted reward my students and most of my kiddos haven't ever had VooDoo, so why not!? I'm not a fan of the Colfax location, so was thrilled when I saw that there was one on Broadway! I decided to place a curbside order and ordered the deluxe dozen and a strawberry go-tart for me! The oooozing strawberry filling in the picture was too hard to resist! I am now sitting at my desk eating a strawberry filled go-tart sans the strawberry filling! WTF!! The only reason I ordered it and not one oooze of strawberry-at all! Well, I guess the moral of the story is, I didn't buy VooDoo donuts for the past two years, so they won't miss my business for the next two. read more

The doughnuts were very sweet. Sweeter than I would have cared for but an interesting selection to say the least. The reason for my review is because I dropped off my teenage girls to run in and get some since I couldn't find a parking spot. When I came back around to get them, I noticed they were escorted out by an employee, Ian. They were followed around inside by a suspicious customer who was being overly friendly and creepy so Ian escorted them out to make sure they were safe when I picked them up. They were so grateful for him and so was I. I made sure to call and let him know how much we appreciated his kindness because that customer did end up following them out of the store and they were very scared when they got to the car. It's a large donut, twice the price of other donuts, and twice as sweet. I don't have a sweet tooth so this was overwhelming. I wasn't able to finish the boston creme filled chocolate donut. It was delicious for the first few bites, but then it became a chore and something I dreaded trying to finish, like a joke on Portlandia that keeps going on and you just want it to end. I ended up saving it for breakfast for the next day. read more

Definitely give this place a try. I went on a super nice Saturday, excepting it to be packed. In actuality I brought the crowd!!! I use to live by the other location but this one takes the cake. if you can brave the hectic Broadway and lack of parking, you won't be disappointed. My favorite place to trek to if I need a sugar high. I always grab a Voodoo Doll!!! read more

I was surprised at how much bigger this location is. It also seems very commercialized, but, I feel like most of them seem that way. Lots of merch everywhere. I've visited the original location in Portland and the other one in Denver, on Colfax, and this location is not as small or traditional. Although, perhaps in a good way? The doughnuts are as delicious as ever but this location has seating and allows for more time for groups to order doughnuts and talk for a bit before heading wherever the day, or night, takes them. It's also open 24 hours which is amazing and also dangerous for my wallet. I've always loved Voodoo Doughnuts and overall love this new location. Will I ever buy their merch? No. Their doughnuts? Yes! read more

Garbage. Apple fritters are the only donuts I get at any donut spot mainly cause it should be the base of any donut shop. A fritter, fried dough and a fruit base. Simple, right? Not here. Got a fritter and there were no apple at all. Cinnamon and glaze. Not worth the line. read more

These are serious donuts - big with lots of creative toppings. The breakfast cereal flavors aren't really my thing, but their traditional flavor donuts are still really good too. Would be 4 stars just based on my taste, but i bump them up to 5 for being open late and having a decent selection of vegan donuts also. Solid choice for sweets cravings! read more

So glad they opened this location since it's much closer. We always come for the Mango Tango and Grape Ape. Service was friendly and quick. I noticed this location has more merch than the Colfax one as well as seating. We'll be back for sure. read more

Donuts are pretty top notch, however when the music is so loud that it impedes a accurate order - problems arise. That was my experience last time I was at this location, I rattled off 3 donuts and you just trust they are all going to be in there. Not the case! Donuts are a good treat but service is lacking. read more

Well, when you have said four times to the counter clerk to please put the doughnuts in a "box" and the counter clerk has paid zero attention to you and has put the doughnuts in a bag...well, you've got troubles my friend, right here in doughnut city. My wife and I were getting doughnuts for my daughter for her birthday and we were going to put a ribbon and bow on the Voodoo doughnut box. The clerk asked me directly as she's putting the order together, "Do you want these in a bag or a box?" "Box, " I replied. "Please put the doughnuts in a box." After the counter clerk placed the doughnuts in a bag I pointed out we needed the doughnuts in a box. Ooh, terrible idea on my part. asking again for a box. The clerk hands the bag forward to me and I say, "I'm now asking you for the third time for a box. Can we get the doughnuts in a box, please." My third request did not result in a box for the doughnuts, rather, it produced a socio-political SHAMING from the counter clerk informing me of multiple socio-cultural crimes and misdemeanors I was committing by monomaniacally demanding a box for doughnuts. I turned to my wife and said, "You want some of this? See if you can get a box." She asked politely for the doughnuts to be placed in a box and wait for it...wait for it... she was handed the bag of doughnuts by the counter clerk. At this point, we just laughed it off and left and got my daughter some cupcakes. If I ever do return to Voodoo doughnuts, I'll make sure I bring a sock puppet, a moron linguist, and a four-foot-tall flash card with a picture of a Voodoo doughnut box on it so I can communicate more effectively with the staff. read more

These employees are amazing!!! A few weekends ago my friend and I went and got some of their doughnuts. They were all absolutely delicious. Then when I got home later that night I realized I didn't have my wallet. I looked everywhere and realized I must have dropped it at some point when we were getting doughnuts. I called Voodoo doughnuts and they let me know they hadn't seen my wallet. They took down my phone number just incase anything would be turned in. A few hours later I got a call that one of the employees found my wallet on the street on their way home!! They held it for me and I was able to get it the next day. They completely went out of their way for me! I wish all customer service was like this. I am so thankful for them! read more

I've been to this location several times. Once it was to pick up a big batch of doughnuts for a bunch of people, other times it was just me or me and a date. The results have been generally really good. The doughnuts have been unusual, fresh, and not too sugary. I love the soft dough they use that is normally velvety, and the creme filling they use for some of their doughnuts. I'm knocking it down a little because occasionally, we've gotten a doughnut that tasted a bit stale - more than once, so it wasn't just a one-off - and one flavor that was grape in nature was kind of awful (to me). But the good far outweighs the bad here, and it's still one of my top places in the area for doughnuts. read more

Stopped by Voodoo Doughnut while exploring downtown Denver and decided to try the Dirt Doughnut. The doughnut was topped with milk frosting and a generous sprinkle of crunchy Oreos, which was a nice touch. However, the doughnut itself was pretty standard--nothing that made me go "wow." While it was a good treat, I wouldn't say it's a must-try. It fits the bill if you're in the mood for a doughnut but don't expect to be blown away.
