What a fun find!! You walk into a minimalistic restaurant that's clean with the hum of the crowd and music. The staff greeted us at the door with a smile. We went to the bar and was immediately greeted by Lance the bartender. They were pretty busy so he got our waters and let us know he needed a moment to get the orders done. He was less than 5 minutes to come back and take our drink orders. The drinks were good with a solid pour. The bourbon selection was solid! Unexpected for a dry county for sure. I was pleasantly surprised. The food we all ordered was good as well. I got the bread pudding and as a person who loves bread pudding I have to say this was one of the best! The Sazerac was absinthe forward but not in a bad way. The others in my party enjoyed their cocktails as well. Overall a great visit! Can't wait to visit for a happy hour. read more

So we heard mixed reviews on this new restaurant and we have been wanting to try it for a few weeks. So we had an impromptu date night on a Wednesday. I went ahead and made reservations last min and I am glad I did. The place was full and several people came in and left because they didn't have any. We ordered the salmon dip appetizer. The salmon had good flavor, but needed a little more spice in my opinion. The only real negative about it was that it was watery at the bottom of the bowl. My guess is from the lemon juice. It just created a soggy texture. The wife ordered garlic shrimp and she loved it. I looked up and she had cleaned her plate before I was halfway done with mine. She said the green bean and corn casserole were both had good flavor. Smoked Prime Rib man was I really impressed with this cut of meat. It had great smoke flavor, it was tender, and cooked perfectly. This prime rib had to be one of the best I have personally had anywhere. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes a great piece of meat. Mac N Cheese was good, creamy and you could tell it was homemade. Bourbon black beans I could live without. It tasted like the bourbon needed to be cooked out of them just a little bit longer. It had a very bitter flavor to them. Bread pudding was good and moist. I only wish they had a scoop of homemade ice cream to put on top of it. And maybe a bourbon cream sauce. Overall it was a great experience and I am sure we will go again soon. read more

First time to visit. Excellent waiter, who needs a name tag. He suggested a Peach and Basil Smash. Good is an understatement! Had the salmon. Flaky and tasty. My husband enjoyed the potato skins more than his ribs, but he is uber-particular about ribs. Overall, very nice meal and service. Looking forward to going back. read more

I tried VP shortly after it opened and again a few months later. Both times my entrees were charred and overcooked. I ordered the smoked chicken the first time and shrimp and grits the other. The sides haven't been bad. My service has been friendly and on-point, so no complaints there. The restaurant is clean and new, and they were busy...so maybe I've just gotten unlucky. The menu prices aren't cheap though, so after two swings and misses I probably won't be going back. read more

The cocktails weee fabulous- truly they were the shining star of our visit. The staff was wonderful, but the food was mediocre and the noise level was terrible. The place would really benefit from some sound dampening. I would def try again as I came during their first week and maybe they were having an off food night. read more

Just the history of the owners is pretty compelling! I had to come and try this with my Foodie friend, Tara! We looked at the menu and knew exactly what we wanted it. Cuban sandwich for her and a prime rib sandwich for me! When our food came, we were silent for the first 20 seconds- as soon as food was delivered I sank my teeth into this ciabatta bread. Next stage was Horseradish, Swiss cheese, mushrooms! All the flavors married perfectly! We will be back for brunch because I want to try the bagel Lux ! Healthy is the word I come up with very delicious food. You can eat it often during the week and feel like you're doing yourself a favor knowing that each time you eat there you get a healthy meal and one that is very tasty. I really liked the ambiance and the friendly service. Me and my wife were the first ones there & were so excited to try the food since this place was recommended to us by a close friend who enjoyed eating here. The first thing we ordered was a starter which was the smoked wings. He asked which sauce and we got the buffalo. I am not normally a stickler for people forgetting things since I used to work in customer service & know people go through things, but our smoked wings never arrived. It's ok though because the main course filled us up. I ordered the prime rib and my wife ordered the ribeye. The sides were delicious. When our food arrived, my plate came with ranch...I thought, "maybe for the smoked wings coming later?" It never came It was also very cold in the restaurant so my food got cold pretty quickly which was a bummer. All in all, I think I'm just grateful I got to try this place. read more

The food was excellent, but took 1 hour and 9 minutes to receive it. We had 12pm reservations for 4. We were seated and noticed some friends who were seated at the same time as us. They received their food at 1:15pm. The restaurant was not packed and at least 2 other tables were seated after us and received their meals about 15 minutes before us. A discount was not offered. Had a great experience here recently! Our server, Jose, was incredibly attentive and helpful. The food and drinks are high quality, especially considering the prices are super reasonable. We sat in a little nook which was nice, but I can imagine some tables might feel a little tight (not anything that should make or break your experience though). read more

We absolutely loved this restaurant! My daughter and I went for brunch. We had different Benedict's and both were amazing. Yummy Bloody Marys and some of the best bread pudding I've ever had to round out our meals. Lance was our waiter and he was very professional and super friendly. We'll definitely be back! read more

Our server Braden (I think) was great! Unfortunately brunch was a huge disappointment! We ordered the queso as an appetizer, had to send it back because it was cold, second one was delivered with apologies and was quite tasty. I got the brisket and gravy with a side pancake. Biscuits were flat and tasted old, gravy was sparse with little to no meat. Pancake was bitter and cold. My husband ordered the pork chilaquiles which was more like nachos with an egg on top, not at all how traditional chilaquiles are made which is fine but call them what they are. Over all not impressed with their brunch. Dinner is fabulous, we'll stick with that from now on. read more
