This please is amazing! We moved from Washington two years ago and have missed really good sushi. This place is as good as any in Seattle.

Best Chinese food in Odessa hands down. Rolls are phenomenal. Wait staff is attentive and makes for a great visit. Highly recommend.

i cannot believe this place is in odessa my husband came in after sitting hungry at the albertsons parking lot trying to figure out where to go i have been visiting odessa for 30 years and it always seems to be the place where i will finally have the fight that will cause my divorce the place is depressing and theres no go food so after reading a bunch of reviews on wokcano we decided to give it a try i was a bit worried about reviews that talked about bad service and bad food but we did not experience either the sushi was the best i remember having in a long time if not ever even better than lan panasian in miami which i have called my favorite restaurant for years the only one item i did not like was the green tea fried ice cream and at that point i was so stuffed i really did not care the decor is very nice for a place in odessa yes i would have done different chairs and tables if it was my restaurant but hey i think it is definitely a step in the right direction and hopefully the beginning of a trend kudos wokcano for daring to be different and good in a market that desperately needs it read more

Party of 9 on a sunday night. Food is not so great could be alot better since owner is from New York. Service sucks big time. Waitresses really needs better training in regards to the food that they serve. She was clueless to what was on the menu.They also need more training in customer service. Menu states that kids meal is served with fried rice. Was brought out white rice. When i informed waitress about the mistake she argued with me that kids meal was served with white rice. I even had to point out to her what was on the menu. She then says that the menu was printed in error and it would cost me more for fried rice which was not an issue. Especially if i paid over $250 for dinner this particular night. When i spoke to the manager about her being rude and arguing with me, he says she might either be having a bad day or it may just be that time of month. Regardless of what time of the month is it, it really isnt ok. 2 stars because the manager/ owner took over & tended to our needs. He himself was not familiar with his menu. I do have to admit this place is probably as good as it gets for the city of odessa. I guess no restaurants here can compare to California. read more

Wokcano is very good not only for the fresh sushi but for their Chinese food too. The seating is comfortable, the place is clean, even as busy as it gets you don't have a long wait for the food. Very good portions for the price. Wait staff are very friendly and work hard to serve you. My husband and I go every week we and really like Wokcano as the best sushi choice in Odessa...it gives CA sushi places a run for their money! read more

I went here and the place was just horrible. Sassy hosts, sassy waiters/waitresses, I waited 45 minutes for my food only to be let down. The quality of the food was horrible, then it tasted like crap. I love sushi, and the only other place I've had sushi that has had this poor of quality was HEB and the Chinese buffets. I DONT see what the big hype is about this place. Then, after getting the crappy food, we paid $70. It was all around a horrible experience. Coming from someone who has worked in the food industry for 5 years. I've been behind that counter and I understand what it takes to be behind that counter, but if I hadn't asked about our food, it would've sat on the bar for 20 more mins just like the other plates I saw. I can deal with the wait, but had it tasted at LEAST decent, and I didn't get a reply "well it's coming out right now" with an attitude I wouldn't be so mad. AND I DIDNT GET AN APOLOGY EITHER. I will not be returning to this place, and I do NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. If I could give less than a star, I would. read more

Probably the best restaurant in Odessa. I have had sushi in LA, Houston, NY and this place in Odessa, TX can compete with them all. Fun atmosphere, strong presentation on all plates, reasonable pricing and great food. My only complaint is that they waitresses do sometimes rush you to eat and get out. read more

Been there several times, started out great, awesome sushi, service, atmosphere, and can get a little pricey, but worth it. Each time it seems to be decreasing in quality and service. Sushi looked and tasted amazing. Dining area was clean and the waitress was good. The only thing that will keep me from not going all the time is their prices. Within 30 seconds of reading the menu she asked "are you ready yet?" and got visibly annoyed when I said no. Then she brought my check when I wasn't done with my dinner and stood right next to me as she waited for me to sign. Love love LOVE this place. Sampled a good portion of their menu and have yet to be disappointed. Pad Thai, ramen, pink lady roll and the chirashi bowl are my favorites! This place is the best restaurant in town. It is hard to understand the waitresses at time but they bring so much culture into the place. The sushi is always fresh and amazingly prepared. Their sweet tea is absolutely amazing. When I went the first time with my family the waitress was so nice! She even let us see what the tea actually was, which was even cooler. I believe that this is now my favorite part of Odessa. I live right behind the place which is a bonus for me because I can go there whenever I want. We did get different waitresses coming up to us. Last night my friends and I went and it was past their closing. They let us in no problem, although I felt really bad for taking up their time. Overall, if you are in Odessa, you are required to go to this place if you love sushi and different kinds of food. I recommend the dragon roll (for sushi) it may sound weird on the menu but it is very good. You can't even taste what is in there, but I'll let you figure out what's in the dragon roll when you go! :) read more
