I went to Andrea Godoy to do my taxes, which was a huge mistake, and I wish I never went to this…read morecompany. I asked if she could help with my current tax situation and work with the IRS to come up with a Settlement, she said it would take 1 year. 6 months later I get a notice from the State of a balance due which I sent to Andrea. She stated that the state did not receive my taxes for that year, and it was for the year she did not do them but she would take care of the situation. 8 months into working with her with very limited information on my file, numerous calls and texts with no response I find out that she wants to refer me to her "business partner" to handle the settlement. Frustrated I try to set up a time with them. Surprise no call back or response. fast forward to 10 months of working with her, I get a bank levy from the State. I called the State and they have no records of anyone calling on my behalf. So, I lost over 10 months of her "working" on my case, an additional $800+ in penalties because she called on my behalf and didn't. I stupidly referred to her when I first met with her to my sister, and she is having the same issue very little to no communication. My sister has waited over 2 months to just amend her taxes and is still waiting. Now I am out over $1200 for her to file 2 years' worth of taxes, lost 10 months on getting a settlement with the IRS, and $800+ penalties to the state. Crazy thing I found out today is that she is the owner of the company. When speaking her today, she kept insisting that she did her job, and she did not file the year in question. I have numerous messages of her saying she would take care of the situation and she would be able to handle a settlement. Now once calling to complain she actually called me back to argue that she did her job, in my opinion it was a job of over promising and under delivering. If I could give negative stars I would, there is much better and more professional tax companies out there, that will actually communicate with their clients. I would suggest looking for them.

I was so friggen madd the day that I went into this office, (yes that is two D D s) I mean the kind of mad that makes going postal look like duck duck goose, Mr Ibarra took me in a room, and let me just say this, it was hard to stay mad for long periods of time. Instead of taking offense to my sense of humor that usually only I understand. Mr Ibarra did not take it personal. He actually liked my humor and laughed at all the appropriate times. Which tells us one of two things, either he is lucky and nods his head and smiles at all the appropriate times OR He is actually one of us. Meaning that he gets it and he does care. From the moment I walked into that office. Either they knew that I was a loose cannon and I could be instrumentally dangerous or he really did take a personal interest in my case. Neither here nor there. He never let another phone call slip through the cracks. HE fought for me tooth and nail and I believe that if the system would not have had me in a position, as they do with everyone, where I was starving and almost homeless, he would have gotten a lot for me. He did the best could with the situation that was in front of him. Since my case, David did not throw me aside, like a pile of trash unlike my former company that I had devoted my life too.
