L'incroyable rapidité avec laquelle j'ai été prise en charge par l'équipe de VM Médical représente pour moi le premier point fort à souligner. Avant de faire appel à vos services, j'avais tenté ma chance auprès de trois hôpitaux, deux avaient des délais d'attente de plusieurs semaines pour une biopsie et un autre long délai pour les résultats, le troisième n'a même jamais rappelé. Une infirmière m'a alors conseillé de m'adresser à votre clinique. Jamais je n'oublierai le jour où j'ai appelé en larme chez vous, c'était un mardi. Ève-Lyne m'a donné un rendez-vous pour le jeudi de la même semaine, il n'y avait donc aucun délai d'attente. J'étais tout simplement renversée ! J'ai su ce jeudi-là que j'avais le cancer. Le lendemain matin, quelqu'un de l'équipe m'a téléphoné pour tout m'expliquer et me rassurer. J'ai subi trois interventions chirurgicales en cinq semaines avec mastectomie totale par Dr Brabant, qui m'a même donné son numéro de cellulaire. Juste de l'avoir me sécurisait ! Par la suite, j'ai reçu des traitements de chimio, j'ai été suivie par les Drs Stern et Farag. Dès mon premier rendez-vous à l'hôpital St. Mary, j'étais en confiance. Pourquoi ? Parce que tous les membres de l'équipe Ville-Marie sont formidables ! Melisa, Sonia, Karen, Debbie, Martine et les autres forment une équipe dynamique, nous donnant le sentiment d'être une priorité. À cause de mon cancer, j'avais l'impression de perdre toute ma féminité et qu'il ne me restait plus que mes talons hauts. L'équipe VM a grandement aidé à me redonner ma joie de vivre et à retrouver ma féminité. De plus, je ne suis pas inquiète parce que je suis très bien suivie. I cannot give enough praise to the staff and doctors at VM-Med. On my first visit (Oct. 9, 2018), I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer after having had pain in my breast for almost 1 year and nothing showing up on my previous mammogram or from a manual exam at my local clinic. From that moment on I was hand-held through the scary process of testing to surgery and now treatment. All the testing is done on site and very quickly with many results available the same day. It took 3 weeks from the time I was diagnosed to surgery and that includes a little delay due to an irregular ECG. The staff at VM-Med did everything within their power to make me feel safe and comfortable. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Keyserlingk, Dr. Otaky and Dr. Tozzi for giving me a second chance at life. Sonia Fernandes and the Oncology team are simply amazing and always took the time to carefully explain everything and to listen to my concerns. Also, since I live in Gatineau, arrangements were always made at my convenience and in consideration of travel time. At VM-Med I was treated with compassion and dignity during the most difficult period of my life. I would like to state that I find VM Medical Center exceptional and now a part of my life. A few years back, in 2010, was asked by my family physician to "go further" with the results of an ultrasound near my home. I was leaving 3 days later for a two week vacation and wanted to know if I could go or not. I called the VM Medical Center that very day - they saw me the very next day and by the end of that day, I knew I was suffering from breast cancer. Yes I was able to go away and then returned to have a partial mastectomy plus chemotherapy and radiation. I am seeing Dr. John Keyzerlingk, Surgeon Oncologist at VM and he is exceptional. I feel am in very good hands. The staff is superb and very helpful. Whoever took my call that fateful day was most compationate and reassured me greatly. I am also seeing Dr. Michael Thirlwell, Oncologist, upon recommendation of Dr. Keyzerlingk and as well, feel that I am followed extremely well at the Montreal General Hospital. Just finished an MRI at this clinic and had a great experience! My whole family and I are patients of the clinic. My mom for her thyroid and my sisters for breast cancer screening. In all cases we had results within a day and the doctors at VM genuinely care about your well-being. The service is amazing here. Added bonus is that they have AN OPEN MRI!! No claustrophobia. I came to VM because I concerned with something I felt in one of my breast. I got an appointment really easily and the doctors were so kind and informative. I ended up having to have a biopsy which was nerve racking but they offered a 24 hour service. I was referred other tests that were available in the clinic so I didn't have to leave which I found very convenient The staff were so nice and had great bedside manner. Overall I am thrilled with this experience, which normally can be very frightening. read more

My husband needed an MRI urgently. Thanks to Jennifer,coordinator of patient appointments, he was able to have it done the same day I called and he left with a disc in hand. I had an MRI here and got excellent service. The machine is open so it's great even if you don't like confined spaces. The staff was super helpful especially the tech. My doctor had the results without 48 hours so I was able to schedule my surgery quickly. One piece of advice: there's a ton of contribution in downtown Montreal so maybe take a cab there. I went to VM Medical because of something I found in my breast. I was extremely anxious but VM got me in the next day. it turned out to be a cyst and my doctor answered all my questions. i am so thankful for VM and their kind help. everything was so quick which is important when anxiety and fear overcome you. read more
