No stars but the website made me pick one . Although we love our gorgeous puppy to pieces, the breeders here are rude and vindictive, and our dog became seriously ill by the time it was two months old. When I asked for assistance in defraying the $1500.00 I had spent in medical costs on the dog by the time it was three months old to treat his hypertrophic osteodysteophy, they instead blamed us for this genetic disease, made untrue allegations, threatened to sue us, and refused to assist with the costs unless we returned the dog or "used their doctors and then we would be responsible for any further medical costs," and even then it was only to return a $500.00 deposit. Buyer beware. Update report October 2017: our beautiful baby is 10 months old, and is still in and out the vet's office for complications from HOD flare ups, which require X-rays, steroids, and pain pills, from time to time. Additionally, he was also recently diagnosed with hip dysphasia, so now our baby has TWO GENETIC DISEASES to deal with. Why would these breeders continue to breed dogs with genetic problems?? Bringing a new puppy into your home is always stressful and you never know what you are getting yourself into. I did my research and contacted the Tampa Bay Vizsla Club and Nancy Edmund's Vizcaya Vizslas was a recommended breeder. I am sorry to hear others have not had the most pleasant experience with this breeder, but our experience has been quite the opposite. Our 1 and half year old girl has exceeded our expectations health wise and with her temperament. She is gorgeous and within a year has become rather calm for this breed. On September 21st I was given my wirehaired vizsla puppy or 9 weeks directly by Nancy Edmunds owner proprietor of Vizcaya Vizslas. I was led to believe she is a responsible breeder to the extent she shares such thoughts on her website and verbalizes them in emails and by phone. Sadly that is where it ends. In the paperwork she e-mails her new dog owners you would find; breeding practice ethics of her own, vaccination do's and don'ts, and more. One of her documents advises her new puppy owners to have a fecal float test. Per her request I had this done at my own cost even after spending an exuberant amount, $1,400.00 to be exact not including trip there to get him. It was discovered upon vet review and testing his ears were very gooped up with debris and such and required a thorough cleaning as well and more serious the puppy had an isospora parasite/Coccidia. As you can imagine I now had to pay additional for more fecal testing and medication for him, as well as my older dog requiring a fecal testing as they live under the same roof and share the same grounds for relieving themselves. As you may know this parasite is picked up through the nursing of the mother who has it and/or the grounds, which they reside, not bring cleaned adequately--make up your own mind about her kennel upkeep. When alerting Nancy Edmunds about this she did not act surprised nor offer to assist in the costs in a responsible fashion. We inquired if she would do so and she agreed to in writing. After 6 weeks of waiting for response or reimbursement after sharing all vet invoices and receipts as requested by the breeder, we finally get a lengthy email agreeing only to pay for medication for $23 when in fact all testing and vet visit costs were well over $150. A few months ago my service dog Lola started pawing at her ear and holding her head to indicate…read morethat her ear was hurting I immediately called her vet and they told me it would be 3 days before they could see her at the earliest there was no way I was going to allow that little dog to suffer for 3 days so I started calling other vets After I called about 6 vets I came on North Hills animal hospital and they told me to bring her in at 2 and they would work her in I did and they did they even got to her in less than an hour They diagnosed her and sent me home with some meds there were 3 things that immediately stuck out the 1st was they let me go in with Lola the old vet wouldn't do that because of covid the 2nd the vet actually sat down on the floor and made friends with Lola before she even started to diagnose her and the 3rd was that the total cost medicine and all was about half what my old vet charged As luck would have it it turned out Lola's ear infection would be recurring I went back-and-forth for about a month getting the lab work done and getting the right meds to get her well We also determined that the ear infections were being caused by an allergen something in her diet was it was causing an allergic reaction we narrowed that down and figured out what it was so after 4 visits to the vet lab work and medicine the total bill was less than 2 visits to the old vet would have cost I cannot say enough nice things about the professionalism and my my experience with this vet I cannot recommend them highly enough these are good people and they care about you and your animal The next time you're furry friend needs a doctor these are the guys you should reach out to Lola used to shake with fear as soon as ee got in the parking lot, with North Hills she actually gets excited to see them even though the ear swabs were clearly uncomfortable, my presence made all the difference Thank you to all the folks at North Hills

I drove, this trip, to bring my beloved pups to Dr S. Everything from the calm and loving atmosphere of the office, to the AMAZINg care the team provides, to the INCREDIBLY AFFORDABLE COST....... I won't go anywhere else. They show love to our animals, as if they were their own. Going to the vet can be incredibly stressful for our animals AND us- North Hill makes it so much easier. They take their time in answering your questions and explaining everything in detail. Also, their costs for their services are very reasonable, too. No surprises, as they tell you ahead of time the cost vs. after the fact. I recommend them HIGHLY!!
