Communication is key when your pressed for time and let me tell you Mariela was incredible. We literally planned my whole look over text message. I am so happy that I found her on this website! I hired Mariela for my college graduation on 6/14 and below is my detailed experience…read more I rarely leave reviews but I felt like this service warranted one so I can warn other folks. Mariela was nice and made me feel comfortable. Unfortunately, it is quite obvious she lacks experience and certifications. I often do my own makeup but I hired someone for my graduation so I wouldn't have to worry. I paid $95 + $10 tip even though the makeup was quite awful. If I'm paying that much, I expect the MUA to use high quality products but Mariela used products I can get at CVS or Target (like a Maybelline foundation). There's nothing wrong with using drug store products but if you're charging $100, I expect better. I asked Mariela for a specific eye look and showed a picture for reference. The look I got consisted of uneven eyeliner lines and smudged colors. My eyebrows were squared and uneven. When she handed me a mirror after she was done, I wanted to cry because I knew I wasn't gonna have enough time to redo it myself before my graduation. She asked if anything needed fixing and I didn't have the heart to tell her everything needed fixing. I still tipped her because I would've felt embarrassed otherwise. Below are pics of what I asked and what I got. I'm not tryna to ruin this girls business, she was every nice but it was CLEAR she lacks the necessary experience to be charging so much. Sorry, but I do not recommend.

I'm conflicted about leaving this review because I have not actually received a service from Jenna…read more I have, however, called and texted multiple times with absolutely no response. I received a facial for Jenna as a gift for my birthday and was really looking forward to using it but I'm extremely frustrated about not being able to reach her. I left a voicemail on 3/5 about scheduling an appointment but didn't hear back so I followed up with a text later that same day letting her know I found her website online and booked an appointment...no response or reply to my call or text. Then I texted and called on 3/17 letting her know I had an appointment and was inquiring as to whether she would still be open given the coronavirus situation. Again, no response. I reached out AGAIN on 3/19 asking the same question...nothing. Texts are all blue and say they were delivered, voicemail clearly states I've reached Skin by Jenna so I have no doubt my messages are getting through and I'm calling the correct number. I know this is a crazy time for everyone, but at least reply to your clients. No response for over 2 weeks to multiple calls and multiple texts is just bad customer service plain and simple.

Berna is amazing, professional and highly skilled esthetician! I have oily skin acne prone skin with breakouts in the spring and summer because of the heat. Berna has worked with my skin, created a skin care maintenance program for me to use at home with monthly micro-microdermabrasion treatments. My skin no longer breaks out but when it does I know exactly what to do at home until I return for my monthly facial. My skin is clear and the various treatments she has used over the years have cleared up the acne and blotches/brown spots I had on my face. I'm a very satisfied customer and highly recommend this spa. Please call for an appointment Tuesday through Saturday at (951) 680-9461.
