The Queen of the catwalk has not failed to amuse and bewilder shoppers yet again with her eclectic mix of clothing available in her store. I LOVE visting this shop to see what crazy designs are new to the rails (and to check out what the staff are wearing). I don't think a lot of the things are very wearable or expensive but odd bits and pieces are really unusual and quirky. The shop is really quite small but has a lovely assortment of garments and a sparkling jewellery counter. I must admit, I was quite disappointed when i visited and couldn't get hold of the Silver Globe earrings that I really had to have for a wedding the following weekend. The lovely staff called around a few London stores and managed to get me a pair that was paid for over the telephone and posted out within a few days. I was really upset to find that the earrings soon became discoloured and started to leave a green tinge on my ears after wearing them. The shop said there was nothing they could do, even with a receipt. This really upset me as I'd paid over £70 for them. Since then, I haven't purchased anything but I still love looking at the designs. It's worth popping in for the bewilderment! read more

Vivienne Westwood is expensive there's no doubt about that but whether or not its worth it is entirely objective so not part of my review what I will concentrate on is the staff. Now everyone who has seen me at one of the events will realise designer clothes aren't my usual attire and when I went in the store I was wearing my usual jeans and T shirt yet did I get looked down on? No is the simple answer seeing a muppet enter the store with absolutely no idea the staff rallied took their time and really helped with no pressure to buy something. I must admit I was hesitant to enter the shop thinking Ive got no idea of prices or if I'm going to be made to feel like I'm wasting their time however I will now go in just to browse and see if I can find my wife something she'll like without hesitation read more

excellent store to visit, if you like your fashion! notice how some of the high street stores are doing lines similar to what vivienne westwood did some seasons back? the irregular puff skirts, A-symetric lines? fitted, but not? buttons fastening off side etc, bold colours and the trashy, but you know it costs look! even the platforms, though i have to admit the high street ones are more practical! she also does a line in jewellery, the latest being the heart orbs, the red one is very nice, but ebay is flooded with fake vivienne westwood copies (i got myself a black heart orb bracelet, my 1 bit of what they call bling? not from the store, but harvy nichols on-line in the sales! lol) also a skull range is erm different, but very eye catching, as some of the pieces are very big! so go in its worth a look around, as she also does accessories to die for! handbags, shoes, necker chiefs (if thats what you call them) sun glasses, mens line in clothing. i've even seen some baby clothes (body suits) and a perfum range staff are helpfull and not snooty. its a very small little shop, wooden flooring and stairs. definately not push chair friendly! update, has moved next door into a brighter, more welcoming space, but has lost that boutique feel, the original small cramped store had? and staff more preoccupied with chatting then serving people! saw one hand card back to a customer with his back facing her! at the prices they could provide service with eye contact and a smile! read more

Vivienne Westwood is easily the best designer to have come out of Great Britain to date, and her exclusively-own store in Leeds leaves nothing to the imagination. Her collections will astound you every season; executing poignant and politically incorrect costume pieces that are to be adorned by the buying public, will really make you think. The store itself is divided in to three floors, the entrance is on to the second floor, which allows you to explore the vast collection of Westwood's costume jewellery (prices ranging from £50- £250), as well as accessories in the form of tartan and patent handbags, wallets, belts and shoes. The store itself is beautiful, and the perfect setting for such vibrant and exuberant pieces. The top floor is where the Red and Gold Label Vivienne Westwood clothing is displayed, and this is where the prices get seriously high. You could be paying up to £1000 for a Gold Label piece, but surely this is understandable when taking in to account how sort after Vivienne Westwood is. The staff working in the Leeds store are the possible downside to this almost perfect store. One can feel at times that as a customer they are not particularly welcome, with little customer interaction and some serious snubbing on the staffs side. Despite this slight set back, the store itself is fantastic, and offers everything one would need in the world of Vivienne Westwood. read more

One of the most decadent brands in the Victoria Quarter, Vivienne Westwood is known throughout the globe for one of two reasons, the first being that crazy looking lady with the orange hair, and the second for being one of the most desired designers our fair country has ever produced. As the only Vivienne Westwood outlet in Leeds, this place, boutique, store, fashion branch, whatever, attracts the stylish fashionistas with oversized bank accounts or supersized credit ratings through the glass fronted doors and into the quirk that is Vivienne Westwood. Once again it's sale season, and it's a perfect place to pick up a bargain that six weeks ago you wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. Prices in here perplex me, you can buy a jacket for £350 but a shirt costs £195. I don't understand. Construction of the jacket in time, energy, quality and design outweighs the equivalent in the production of the shirt, so I just plain don't understand the pricings. It's expensive in here, and it doesn't apologise for it. The energy in the shop is that you're not buying a shirt or jacket or bag, but you're buying into the brand that is Vivienne Westwood. Although I couldn't bring myself to part with the cash, it's fun to look at the latest layout, and to see what high street copycats will producing in a few weeks time at a tenth of the cost. My friend left the store with a jacket come mac, and a shirt, and was £600 lighter in the pocket dept. Ooooooooooooowch! read more

Some things in life are free; most that I like are not. It's just the way I am and one word always fills my heart with glee...shopping. Oh yes and shopping is sometimes so much more than just a buying experience, it's a cultural one as well. Well it is in my world and especially in the Vivienne Westwood store in the mighty fine Victoria Quarter. For me, it's more like an exhibition than just a shopping spree. Probably because my bank balance wouldn't like the latter anyway, but I love going in just to gawk at some of the latest bling things the creative geniuses behind the brand have been working on. That's not to say everything in the store is prohibitively expensive, because it's not, but a lot of it will be top end of your budget at best. Having said that, the jewellery is well in range and illustrates the marvellous, weird and wonderful world of the fashion icon herself. You may be put off by the locked door and security guard giving you the once over but don't be. It's worth a gander inside if only to be inspired by some of the latest floor models and kooky designs. Great fun, if less so on the old purse. read more
