We really trusted and valued her opinion and support as we figured out which homes might be a good fit for us, what our offer would entail, and even making sense of our inspection and what to follow up on. Kayleigh was so fun to tour and envision houses with, and so knowledgeable about the whole process. We could not have done this without Kayleigh, and highly recommend her!

The house in question already had an accepted offer, but my husband took her business card because we definitely needed a realtor. Kayleigh was very approachable, knowledgeable, and super fun to talk to and joke around with (really the most important qualities of any person). We ended up sitting down one on one with her a few days later at Stark so that I could meet her and to tell her what kinds of things we were looking for in a house. Kayleigh was very thorough in her questions, so we got through the business part of the meeting pretty quickly. However, we stayed for quite awhile just talking and getting to know each other. I felt like I had known her for years, she was like my kindred spirit. Of course we decided to use her as a realtor! I'm not sure how many days after our initial meeting that we started looking at houses, but it might have been as soon as the very next day (or at least the next day that my husband and I were available). Kayleigh was so flexible and worked around our schedules for house showings. We told her what we liked about each house and what we didn't like. I think we looked at 4 or 5 houses the first day. Based on our feedback, Kayleigh took us out just a couple of days later and showed us the PERFECT house! It was like she built the house herself in one day after hearing our feedback. She got the ball rolling for us the exact same day and we put in an offer. It was after normal business hours, I think a Sunday night. Kayleigh didn't bat an eye. She went though all the paperwork with us and got us an accepted offer! She made the whole process of buying our first house less scary, and FUN! Kayleigh is no longer just our realtor, she has become part of our family. We plan on buying our second house soon, and every time we think of some important detail we want for the house, we tell her about it. I have no doubt she will find us another perfect house when the time comes. She is the absolute best!

If you're looking to sell a house in Waunakee, Peggy Acker-Farber is the person you want to see!…read more She knows the area and the market extremely well. When it came time for my Mom to sell her Waunakee condo, we hemmed and hawed about who would help us with that task. After considering several realtor friends as well as previous realtors, we decided to go a new direction - with the name that is on every other "for sale" sign in Waunakee. Peggy Acker-Farber. We set up a meet-and-greet with Peggy at the condo where we could chat and she could walk through and tell us what she thought. Peggy was SO pleasant to visit with - very personable and fun. She also came very prepared, showing us comps and recent sales in the area, then giving her opinion on where the condo fell within those examples. That's where her knowledge shined bright - she knew that the condo would sell for a slightly higher price than we anticipated, and it probably wouldn't take long (though no promises!). Within days there were showings, giving us true insight of Peggy's abilities and connections. Seven days after listing, we had an accepted offer! We were able to stop showings and allow Mom to focus on packing and moving! Peggy's team was very thorough regarding all the work that went into showings, inspection, and the closing. They made sure that any questions we had were answered quickly and accurately. The closing went well and Mom was out of there quickly. The next day, while at her new place, a beautiful basket of flowers arrived thanking her for her business. Nice touch. I'm not sure how many homes outside of the Waunakee area Peggy and her team deal with. If I'm BUYING a house, I'll be calling Peggy to help me with that process. If you're in Waunakee as a seller, you should definitely consider calling Peggy and utilizing her team's local expertise. If I'm selling my Cross Plains house, I'll call Peggy first and see what she thinks - I'd have no doubts she'd be able to represent me well!

We used Kathy to sell our existing home and to purchase our new home. The purchase of our new home was a lengthy and incredibly frustrating process (5 counter-offers were exchanged) with some challenging sellers. Kathy did a great job of finding a home that fit our family, and was there for us whenever we needed her, whether it was during the negotiation process, or after the offer was accepted. She was with us every step of the way. She provided insightful advice about staging our home (it sold in 3 days and for more than our asking price). She has great contacts for home inspectors, handymen, etc. We wouldn't want to work with any other realtor.

Alex is an amazing realtor. He's so good that I sent the president of First Weber (who knew my…read morefather) this message. Is Alex Saloutos real? A realtor who thinks about us first, and not him? Let me explain. You already know the first part of this; but the latest chapter is new. We want to buy a lot. Alex spends a lot of time showing us lots and does an electronic mapping thing that works great with my personality. After a long search, we find one we love. It is, I forget maybe $99,000. I suggest an offer around $91,000. Alex builds a spreadsheet of golf course lots in Dane County and notes that this one started on the market 3 years ago at maybe $109K. He thinks it can be had for under $80K. We make an offer below $70K, and settle at $71K and make the purchase. We are ecstatic. Melanie, though, really wants to live IN Madison. After completely designing a house for the lot in SketchUp (OK, I can be psychotically driven); I say, "If that's where you want to live; let's expand/remodel your old house". $300K later it is great. But we still own the lot, which is listed at $79,900 to be virtually the same price as the adjacent lot. Early this week we get an offer of $74K. Alex researches the offer and talks to the seller's realtor. He learns that they want to build a BIG house on a golf course (like the neighbor's house), and need two lots to do that. He learns that they have an accepted offer on the adjacent lot, contingent on closing with our lot. There are only three lots in our subdivision left, and only two adjoining. Alex advises holding on our price, and countering at full price; but offering them a copy of the detailed survey that we paid for ($925), which costs us nothing now. That's gutsy! His best interest would have been served by saying, "take it!" You understand better than anyone that one way to get easy commissions is to get your clients to underprice their homes, or advise them to buy at premium prices. The next day they accepted the full price offer Between the two transactions; Alex took us from a loss of around $20K (plus taxes and transaction fees), to a net profit even after fees and commissions. I can't recommend Alex too much. We will sing his praises to everyone interested in a realtor. I have a vCard for Alex that I send to anyone interested in a realtor. You really can build your business by serving clients' interests, and not going for the quick gains. Jeff Boldt, PE
