As a Vietnamese woman who has survived off of Vietnamese food my whole life, moving to Denver was rough. I would have to drive 25-30 minutes to one of the restaurants off of Federal. ViVi pho, however, is only a 7 minute drive from my apartment. And it's just as good. Promise. Always get pho dac biet or you're not experiencing the real pho experience. I think this is a family owned restaurant--I go several times a month and see the same exact employees who know what I want each and every time. read more

Just finished dinner there. Normally takes a lot for me to post. Had the spring rolls and pho with brisket and rare steak. Spring rolls were fresh (you can tell when spring rolls has been sitting around - pork is tough, etc.) and tasty. Had same great experience with pho. YA'LL, THIS WAS THE BEST PHO I'VE EVER HAD! My brother was hyping up the vegetarian broth, but I had to go OG, beef broth, rare beef Pho combo, with Chicken Rice Paper Rolls (!!! most places only do shrimp/pork). The peanut sauce for the rolls were excellent, but that PHO BROTH THO. Best Pho experience of my life. Perfect amount of flavor and Umami, and with the right mix of Hoisin and Sriracha I was in heaven. Big shouts to Kevin, our server, too! He took our order without writing nothing down, and everything came out exactly like we ordered, even though a couple of us had complex orders. And the way he packed up the leftovers was boss af. My girlfriend and I always get the same thing because we love this place: start with egg roll appetizers (they have the best homemade ones), two Thai teas, and a nice bowl of the pho-let mignon. Grew up in a Vietnamese household, my mom was a chef so my standards on good pho is pretty "snobby" as a preface. The broth is very authentic! Could use a little more flavor, but it's one of the better broths out there with the plethora of pho restaurants. I used to live right by this restaurant and went here almost every week because it's some of the best Vietnamese food I've found in Denver! Family owned, extremely friendly and hospitable local place. Everything I've ordered here was delicious (pho, various appetizers, entrees, drinks, boba). We went there during the holidays and there were a bunch of us and everything was wonderful. This place has pretty legit pho, especially given it's not on Federal. Broth here is quite flavorful; more of an earthy than "clean" affair. Noodles were springy and steak was very tender. Only downsides were the seriously wilted Thai basil and lack of ngò gai (sad face). Service was very efficient, bathroom was kinda dirty. read more

Decided to check out Vivi Pho for a late lunch yesterday based on the reviews here, and they did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. My husband and I have been on the hunt for great pho in Denver since relocating here from Houston. Until now, we have been disappointed with the expensive (for what it is), subpar, MSG-laden pho that seems to be the standard here in Denver. However, after eating at Vivi Pho yesterday, I think we've finally found our spot! We started our meal by splitting an order of pork summer rolls, and they were outstanding! They were fresh, well wrapped, the ingredients were evenly balanced, and the pork inside was lean, a little crispy, and oh so tasty. I'll go back just for those alone. Then our pho orders came out--they were HUGE! I ordered a medium and my husband a large--will definitely do a small and medium, respectively, the next time. The broth itself was clear, well balanced, not the least bit oily, and very flavorful yet delicate. There were ample noodles in each bowl, and the beef was lean and very tender. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful. Was it the best pho I have ever eaten? No. But it IS the best pho I've had in Denver (and yes, we've explored the Federal area extensively). Just found my new favorite Vietnamese place in Denver! Everything was great-- the place was very clean despite how busy it was, the service was very friendly and efficient, and the food was phenomenal. The staff all seemed genuinely interested in making sure each customer had a great experiece. But back to the food... I had the special rice plate (grilled beef, grilled pork chop, egg roll, fried egg, raw and pickled veggies, dipping sauce, and rice) and my dining companion had the PHO-let Mignon. My dish was nicely spiced with a great grill flavor to the meats. The dipping sauce was the best part-- balanced with sweet, spicy, and salty flavors. The raw and pickled vegetables were a pleasant contrast to the savory flavors of the rest of the dish. I only tried a sip of the broth of the pho, but it was by far the best I have tried in Denver, again due to the awesome balance of spices and savory flavors. The filet mignon was very tender and worth the little added cost, according to my dinner companion. I will definitely order that next time. With bonus points added for this being close to my house, I will be sure to be back the next time I crave some Vietnamese food. read more

I would definitely come here again for their Bun Bo Hue. The broth had the perfect amount of lemon grass in it. The food is very tasty and you can't beat the price. I only knocked down one star because the Pho beef broth base wasn't as "Asian spiced" as I'm used to with the anise or cardamom which is fine; totally personally preference. It was still very good when you put all the dressings in it (Sriracha, Siam basil, bean sprouts, a dash of jalepenos and lime). The cream cheese wontons (yes yes, not traditional at all) were very tasty and we would highly suggest it as an appetizer. The service was one of the best and everyone was super friendly. This is the spot for a quick Vietnamese lunch. Plenty of parking and spots marked off specifically for the restaurant. The food came out quickly and hot. They didn't rush us but they were really moving the lunch traffic along. Which is great! The noodle bowl was as good as any. I was surprised at how good it was, actually. I've been to several Pho places, as I love Pho. This place was not bad, but not great. The broth was less flavorful than I'm used to, but it may just be my taste buds. The rice plate (Chicken, Beef, and Shrimp) was delicious... just seemed light? I may be spoiled by some of the other spots I go to, that are North (Thornton area). My guess is that rent is more expensive in this area, so they balance it by serving portions that help with the bottom line. The server was very helpful to make my meal vegan, even making recommendations for subbing the house sauce on the bao. ViVi pho is the bomb. We've been going here since they opened about 5 months ago and it's such a gem. We've been to Vietnam and this pho actually compares! We've looked all over denver for this kind of Vietnamese food and we found it! It is a family run joint and they are so nice and appreciative. The pho let mignon is what we always get and the vivi bao's and steamed dumplings are excellent. Today we tried the veggie egg rolls and they were made on the spot.
