Do not despair. You can't sit in and participate in the therapy nor is there a glass window you can sit and watch the therapy sesión bit you will get a recap when they are done. The staff is friendly and you will be pleased. I've seen progress with my child so they know what they are doing. Pro Tip: you can either wait in the waiting area for your child, take advantage and do groceries at the Publix on SW 1st or just walk over to the Hispanic branch of the Miami-Dade Library a block down & check out a good book before your child is done.

Melanie suggested a detailed list of oral motor exercises to strengthen her tongue and cheeks as well as desensitize her mouth. And voilà! Staff is very nice and attentive. My niece received 1 hour of OT and 1 hour of speech weekly for 6…read moremonths and we were very pleased with the center. She was re-evaluated 6 months later and the Ocupacional therapist decided to decrease OT to 30 minutes a week even though she was diagnosed with Autism disorder and scored very poorly in the evaluation. I called the clinical supervisor to request a re-evaluation in order to increase the amount of therapy she was receiving and the response was that I needed to wait another 6 month and that nothing could be done. ,We had to change my niece to another therapy center in which she is receiving 3 hours of OT and 3 hours of speech a week which is the recommendations from her Neurologist.
