This park has lots of grassy areas where you can have a nice picnic as well as an actual covered picnic area. There are swings, a jungle gym, a little tricycle area as well as play areas with structures for the kids to have fun and explore on. Parking is not an issue since it's literally in the middle of a neighborhood. Locals know about this park, but it is well hidden. There are lots of neigborhood children who play here but it's never over crowded which is always a plus.

The instructors are friendly and inspire trust (which is needed because security is important). The climbing and and walking around the high altitude path is a great way to face your vertigo. I had a high heart rate throughout but it was a great experience. There are some logs lying around a fire place where we wanted to grill some hot dogs afterwards, and they lent is grilling equipment even though they were leaving, trusting us to put the grilling equipment by their cabin when we left later in. Great challenging course close to city centre…read more Once you hit tee, you dont have to worry about anything except staying in line. Because if you dont, you will be punished...BIG TIME! So stay with the irons as long as you can, or get to know their thick woods. Facillities over all are great with a large practice area, locker rooms and tasty restaurant. This place is definitely worth a try, so grab a friend, set a date, pray for nice weather and enjoy!

The park has lovely views of Djurgårdsbrunnsviken (the bay that forms the northern shore of Djurgården) and Stockholm beyond. There are some statues and historical landmarks in the park, and it's a nice place to stretch your legs between museums or after a delicious meal on the island.

They describe the park well: In Tiveden National Park the forest is being allowed to evolve as natural forest. What is now growing here is a forest that has not been impacted by recent decades of large-scale forestry. Such a large contiguous area of old forest is very unusual in southern Sweden. The age and majesty of the forest and the wild configuration of the landscape is what gives this national park its character. Tiveden National Park has an area of 2 030 hectares. It has a total of 34 kilometres of marked hiking trails offering walks of 0,9 to 9,5 km. The very hilly terrain and abundance of boulders make for stimulating but demanding hiking. In Sweden, parks don't have entrance fees. This country prides itself on the outdoors being for the people. They call it Allemansrätten. It's a right of public access. People can freely access and enjoy natural landscapes with few limitations (basically be respectful and do no harm and do not be an asshole).
