The infant and toddler station was particularly fun for our kiddo just due to seeing so many toys he may not be exposed to at home. We loved the art and toy sections as well; all of the space between everything lets our little one feel safe and not cramped. We will definitely be back and are so excited places like this exist for families of ASD kiddos - and of course for all kiddos as well. It is priceless for the experience you get with access to things that can make a decent day a wonderful day. Come try and see, we'll see you there!

In fact, I had FOMO over a pair of Vol earrings I loved on my first visit, stopped back in a few days later and they had sold. She said "oh, well let me make you a pair right now." She didn't end up having all of the parts on hand but took my number to call when she was able to make a pair. What great service! Also cool, they do weekend craft workshops that are super affordable. She spreads the craft options on the entry table with prices listed and you tell her what one you want to work on. You can get $5 crafts for kids while you do a $40. Many craft places have a blanket price of $60 and up, regardless of age or project, which I know would deter me from bringing my kids. They also sell wooden DIY craft kits to bring home. They supply everything but the paint. There were many options.

We were treated inappropriately and then our child was removed from the program, while our other child was on the waiting list for 8 months and was told they would have a spot after he/she was born. At the last minute, we were told that our second child did not have a spot because of a long waiting list and because I was taking 12 weeks maternity leave and that was the reason. This situation left me with a newborn, a two year-old and no daycare at the last minute. When we asked the owner what we are supposed to do for child care her response was "you have child care, you are on maternity leave for 3 months." I want only the best for my kids and this was not the place for my family. The turnover with staff is beyond anything I have ever seen...and should be considered a red flag. One of MCA's best employee/teacher was treated so bad/unfairly and disagreed with how we were treated that she left. My advice is do your research and if you have any reservations...look elsewhere!

Cons: Ultimately, Angela Floyd School is a business, first and foremost. It seems like this is more about bling, things being over the top, and photo opportunities for said business. We just got home from our daughter's spring recital. It was over three hours long. Many of these children were quite young, some even toddlers. The whole thing has just gotten way too big. Also, mass communication about details was really sloppy. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't ask my daughter's teacher things like, "What time does she need to be there for dress rehearsal and which time does she need to be picked up?" and she didn't know. Everything I asked, I was told, "Look in the booklet." The problem is, the booklet wasn't very clear in the way it was worded. No one seemed to know any direct answers regarding timing and logistical details about the tech rehearsals/recital. Also, they tell you to pack snacks for the dancers for these rehearsals. For the dress rehearsal, those kids were there for over SIX hours, and the only sustenance they had were snacks from parents and Honeycomb cereal provided by the dance school. No dinner. Not even pizza or anything like that. Same for the recital. When I went to pick her up afterward, a long line of parents were waiting for an incredibly long time for the kids to be released. Parents were forbidden anywhere at anytime outside of the auditorium area (which creeped me out a little bit.) For the longest time, I could literally see kids sitting down on the floor through the window and no one was guiding them to their parents. Finally, I walked over to the door, saw my daughter sitting there, and began knocking. Someone opened the door and I said, "I see my daughter right there, and we need to go." Thankfully, she called her over. After I did that, they finally starting releasing everyone else's kids. Additionally, parents were told that they weren't allowed to video record or take photos during the show. Umm...what?? They're reasoning was that they were already taking complimentary photos and a video. Fine. But allowing parents to take photos from their seats isn't going to impede anyone professional photographer from doing their job. It all felt very controlling and I heard from other parents that they felt like they were treated like cattle. I felt the same. The recital felt more like a PR event for the school than what was best for the kids. Sorry, but we're not going back.

The ladies, to my right, celebrating a birthday, were friendly, laughing hysterically, wiping tears & taking photos saying "Three hours for this" (holding up their unrecognizable baked item as if to say 'all this- for this!') They were the highlight of my evening, as they summed it up best.

As others have mentioned in their reviews, the business is run by a husband and wife team. From the moment we arrived, the female owner's rude, hostile, and dismissive attitude set a negative tone. Despite following their instructions to arrive early, we were told we couldn't wait inside, and it was hot out! We completed the required waivers in advance as recommended, but we were met with annoyance instead of appreciation--almost as if our preparedness was an inconvenience. We made every effort to remain friendly, polite, and respectful, but her dismissive, cold and abrasive demeanor persisted to the point that we genuinely considered walking out before the class even began. What could have been a fun and memorable evening was completely derailed by her unprofessional conduct. We tried to make small talk, and I have a high tolerance for rudeness, but this was to a scale that I have never encountered. There were roughly 10 couples in the class, and as we began interacting with others, it quickly became clear that we weren't alone in our experience. Several guests shared similar complaints about her attitude and lack of courtesy. It wasn't just a bad day or a misunderstanding--this is a pattern. In addition to the customer service issues, the structure of the class itself was disappointing. We signed up expecting a hands-on cooking experience. While we were allowed to assist with some small tasks, the majority of the cooking was done by the chef. The setup seemed more geared toward encouraging guests to purchase additional drinks (which are not included) and to socialize, rather than actually teaching any meaningful culinary skills. Although we enjoyed the meal and met new people, I don't believe anyone left with the knowledge or confidence to recreate the dishes at home. While I understand that this format may help keep the evening on schedule, it wasn't what I paid for or hoped to experience. Given the premium price of the class, we expected a welcoming, professionally run event. Instead, we left feeling frustrated, disrespected and disappointed. I would not attend again, and I strongly discourage others from signing up until the owners--particularly the female co-owner--reevaluate how they engage with their guests or sell it to someone with people skills.
