I normally prefer less massive multiplex venues, however UCI Cinema has truly taken a huge risk (which has paid off brilliantly). Located in the outskirts of town (on the way to Fiume), this movie theater is equipped with a huge parking lot. Once inside, everything is superbly taken care of (tidiness in a movie theater is crucial). The staff is cordial but non-invasive. The ticket counter welcomes you without a glitch. The snack area offers a wide variety of junk food for the grab. Once the movie is ready, you are often escorted to your seat. This location offers both Italian-dubbed as well as original version. All in all, a great place to go when in dire need of some recreational movie time.

Hosting the 20th Udine Far East Film Festival, this gorgeous theater hosts this spectacular…read morefestival. Located in a charming town in the heart of San Danielle prosciutto and Friuli wine county, One of the largest Asian Film festivals in Europe, Asia's biggest star and cinema talent descend on this town of less than 100,000 people for several weeks of film, food, education, media events and other activities. The theater does av wonderful job hosting the thousands of people who descend on it each year for this festival. This is my third visit (i've yet to see a movie as too busy with fronds) but this year that may change.
