I give this location 2 stars only because the examination and choosing the frame went well. Everything else went downhill. I broke the frame on my old glasses, so I had to purchase a new pair. When I went to pick up the new glasses, when I put them on, they fell off of my face. I called this to the attention to the staff who watched them fall off. I had my broken glasses with me and the left temple was still intact, so she took them and measured the left temple of the new glasses by the temple of the old ones. She then bent the new temple on the left, NOT THE TEMPLE TIP and gave them back to me. when I wouldn't accept them, she took them and left the room and another person with same attitude came in. She at least adjusted the frame so that I could keep them on, however when I couldn't read with them, she gave several reasons why this was the case: She said it's because I have a macular tumor. (Not that I'm aware of, had a macular hole repair several years ago and the Retina Specialist who performed the surgery and other Ophthalmologists I've seen since felt that the surgery had healed well. She said I have a retina scar. (I had a retina occlusion in the past). She gave one reason after the other why I couldn't see well ending with because the lenses of the replacement glasses were larger than the old ones. I have been told by many professionals that the larger lenses work better because they allow a larger reading area. After many other excuses most of which I made note of, she said I should wear them for a week, and I should find my "sweet spot". If this didn't work, I needed to make an appointment, come back, they would recheck them and if this didn't work, they would get me in to see the doctor. When my niece who was with me asked since I spend most of my time in Dothan now, can't I see someone there? Her answer was: "no, they would just send me back to the Marianna office. Surely no one, not even the staff involved or the people reading this, have to even think about how many stars this encounter deserves. I hope no one else will ever have an experience like this one especially from someone who is supposed to be in a helping profession. read more
