However when I moved to the area and was looking around for a place to get my car repaired Sam's Garage came highly recommended. I tried a few other places as I did hear they were expensive, but soon gave them a go when my engine blew. They took great care of me and made me feel that I could trust them. I've used them ever since and they are always letting me know what needs to be done and what I can let go. If you are looking for a place and guys to trust, this is the place.

Their prices are significantly lower than the dealership and they take care of you the same day on any urgent issues rather than waiting for the service department at the dealership to call you back when they have the time. Before he starts work, he collects his information fully and properly in order to proceed, and he will call you back to confirm exactly what's going on before the repair is continued. He gives estimated times for parts and services as well as rates, and I've never had to wait longer than he's said. He has years of experience to go on and it pays off. Twice I've had serious problems occur from out of town and I have learned it's worth my while to have it towed all the way back to him than to deal with it anywhere else. He's often there later than his posted hours. A real, dedicated man to his business. Quotes are always what he says or less in my experience. Last repair I needed, he was happy to leave the car out for me and settle the bill afterward. A real gentleman. He's that guy I hate to have to need, but so glad to have to go to.

Any car owner who wants alternatives to paying dealership rates for repairs should check out David…read moreand his team at Top Series Auto. My search for an honest mechanic that has competitive rates 6 years led me to him. He was a referral by my mom's cousin who has been a customer of his for years and for good reason. David has been my go-to mechanic since he's earned my trust. One time my alternator blew on '02 Honda Civic and I was stuck in a Loblaws parking lot. I called him after business hours on a Saturday and he picked up and arranged for a tow truck and met at his shop (hours after he closed!). Tow truck rate was cheap too! The only drawbacks to going to Top Series is the lack of a heated waiting area -- freezing in winter! But there's Chinese restaurants and cafes around you can chill at while you wait for your car. Also, often he's very busy so I'd recommend calling in and making an appointment. Even when he's busy he'll take the time to ask you the right questions about your car. He's a former mechanic for a Honda dealer so he knows his stuff. Well, I'm thoroughly impressed by his character and talent as a mechanic and I thought he deserves the kudos here on Yelp.
