When it came to finding a hotel in Visby, pretty much everything was already booked except this…read morelittle guest house on Adelgatan. It's very well located for sure.
Well, first, it's a guest house so take for granted that nothing is included. When I say nothing, I mean that sheets for the bed and towels for the shower are not included. But you can pay extra to have them.
Breakfast happens in the hotel next door, and is not included either, but there is a kitchen and a fridge and everything you need to cook in your building. There's an ICA 5 minutes down the street where you can buy food. Note that there is no salt and pepper in the kitchen, and that could be nice to have though.
The rooms are ok. They are bunk beds. The bed aren't too comfortable if you're a heavy guy like me, I could feel the metal bar under the mattress. The curtains are VERY thin and you'll be awaken as soon as the sun shows up, which can be around 4 AM in Visby.
The showers are available to everyone. There were a couple bottles of shampoo probably left there by previous visitors, but don't count on it.
We had neighbors in another room that came in the middle of the night, completely drunk, doing a lot of noise and talking very loud. We had to go in the corridor to remind them they aren't alone in the place. Not very pleasant. The kind of thing that wouldn't happen in a hotel.
So it's ok. Not perfect. It's a guesthouse. But to visit Visby, I would have slept anywhere, it's so nice!
