Definitely heading in the wrong direction. Used to be pretty quiet and uncrowded but like everything Tech related under Tim Sands, it's now crowded, loud, and frankly, stressful. For one, it's not a professional park. It feels much more like an industrial park with giant trucks everywhere, constant construction noise 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. Needless landscaping noise fills in the rest of any remaining peace.I almost forgot the expanded airport and all the new industrial noise that has brought! It fits the trend with the rest of Blacksburg - growth at all costs while still pushing the quiet mountain town trope. All good things must end at some point and I'm sad that that time is now for the CRC. My coworkers and I are pushing hard to work from home post pandemic. The CRC just stresses me out. read more

Great area to work. Walking trails, Frisbee golf, volleyball nets all included. The best part is some of the walking trails still cut through wooded areas with oaks and other hardwoods that support local wildlife. read more
