OSU-Tulsa ROCKS! It helps you get THERE from HERE. I love how vague their motto is yet how…read moreapplicable it is to many Tulsan students. I am a graduate student here and the staff I have dealt with have been nothing short of exceptional: super helpful, always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. Now, I really wish you could understand what that means in my case specifically, being an international student. There is a lot of "red tape" and special processes for everything from registering for classes to applying for legal permits (fun stuff like that). I have had an amazing experience so far at OSU thanks to the wonderful employees and professors here. Shout out to the Graduate Student Services office! Aaron, Thomas, Sarah, Stacey, Trey, and Shy. You guys are the best! They have definitely seen way more of myself than they ever should and yet they always have a smile on their faces and are ready to help me out. They are miracle-workers! Shout out to the very helpful info-desk as well! Michelle and Seth have been lifesavers with all the tidbits of information they so openly share. Now on to the education stuff...Students at this campus are a different demographic, especially graduate students: mostly older, with families and usually professionals working full time. For such students, it's really helpful to have a flexible class schedule with evening classes available. Also, professors seem to appreciate professional experience and don't bother with busy-work. The assignments given are truly meaningful in the learning process. Professors are also great. Their value is ridiculous. I've been so impressed by their resumes and having them available here is mind-blowing. Class sizes are relatively small, so you get a lot of attention and they truly care about their student's success. Even those that haven't directly taught you in class are willing to serve on your thesis committee! (thank you Dr. Shreffler & Dr. Fullerton!) I've seriously been very lucky with my advisor (Dr. Raj Basu is the best!). I've been able to see first-hand the commitment there is to students achieving their goals (ultimately graduation!). Even the Bursar Office is extremely nice and friendly (if you've had to deal with registrar issues of sorts you know how rare this is). I've never met staff that bends over backwards for you like they do here. Even those that are in the Stillwater campus help you through the phone! So...if you're thinking about going to school, seriously consider OSU-Tulsa. It's as good as it gets!

The campus is beautiful. That's not a word I use often so enjoy it lol. But really, the grounds are phenominal. The people are friendly, and the staff is top notch. My mother graduated from here for undergrad and masters. My childs mom and myself also. So yea, there' s a little pressure for my child to go here as well lol. The staff is super helpful and take the time to actually get to know you and understand what your path/needs look like. Some of the classes weren't offered at this campus so I had to go to Stillwater. I never got the chance to take the Big Orange Bus (BOB) but it's a great thing that's available for those that need to make the commute but don't want to drive. I hear it's very comfy and even has wi-fi so you can be productive while you're on it. I noticed a huge difference between the classes I took in Stillwater and those in Tulsa. Mostly that the experience is completely different, even in graduate school. At the Tulsa campus, most classmates are what we'd consider "non-traditional" students, who are full-time professionals, have family responsibilities, and might be taking classes part-time. I think that's why most professors don't assign "busy-work" but actual valuable learning opportunities. Furthermore, I enjoyed class discussions that connect real-life situations with the academic theory at hand. Loved my experience on this campus! Highly recommended.

Watch out for the run around from Financial Aid, Bursar's Office, and Housing Department on campus. All three offices will attempt to place incorrect charges on accounts to try to solicit money. When calling to get in contact with admin at these offices they regularly give the run around and say that there is "nothing they can do to help" or "they do not have access/communication with that office on campus." Both responses are inexcusable from a supposed Top University and there should be training for administrators on how to help students instead of trying to "deal" with them. The cost of attendance is a complete rip off, and it reflects in on-campus food, student diversity, school spirit, school resources, and campus life. I will never advocate attendance until serious admin and diversity changes are made and when the cost of attendance reflects what the university ACTUALLY has to offer. Do not take this review lightly, I don't review often so hopefully this stops others from repeating mistakes, I would give zero stars if I could. The University of Tulsa is more of a business than a university, sadly they are not the only school that functions and prioritizes in this manner.
