I cannot attest to Annemarie's team, I am sure they are fine people, but I dealt with Annemarie directly. We sold our home in Moseley and needed a short-term rental to finish the school year. We were in a bind trying to stay in our school district. Annemarie offered up a home she was trying to rent for a client; we jumped on it given our time constraints! She had us pay the application fee (which we never got back), had OUR agent draft the lease for HER client's property, then pretended to not know why the signed lease was taking so long to get back into our hands (she only made an agreement verbally to our agent and via email stating it was coming). She strung us along for days while she proceeded to sell the house instead, negotiating a contract while keeping us in her back pocket just in case. In my opinion, that speaks volumes to her moral conduct and lack of ethical standards. I am sure as a seller's agent she's fine, sometimes you need a cut throat agent to get your house sold. I for one appreciate someone with a higher ethical standard, someone looking for a win-win for all parties. I would not use her, nor would I ever recommend her.

She has been on call at most hours of the day and close to midnight - she always returns calls, has wise answers, great advice and excellent attention to detail and her client's desires when making home decisions. She even had our home cleaned, staged and professionally photographed to make our sale run so much smoother. And as far as our new purchase goes, she worked tirelessly to find our family a safe, budget friendly, spacious home. The hours she put in without complaint are numerous, and the end effect is a realtor that I can with confidence recommend over and over to anyone who asks. I can't imagine anyone working harder or smarter for their real estate clients. Meg hasn't asked for this review at all - but she deserves it all the way.

As we approach one week of being in the house, it further comes upon me the superior distinction of…read morequality service that Main Street Homes puts forth for its clientele. We had been looking for quite some time for a new home in the DMV area and had spoke with multiple builders (large-scale and local) but had really never seen anything that had met our unique requirements. Feeling quite bummed and not in the market to spend a million dollars custom building a home, we extended our search horizons south towards the Richmond area. From the moment I clicked onto their website, and spoke to Kelsey, I knew that this was going to be a completely different experience than the ones we had had prior. When we finally made an appointment to visit our now new community, we were greeted with one of the most professional, well appointed and knowledgable sales agents, Erik Markowitz. Through all of the realtors and salesmen we have had experiences with in buying/building homes over the years, Erik was truly different in that he was not in any way "pushy" or "salesman" like in getting us to sign a contract or anything of the nature. Instead he very patiently and supportively walked us through the process of selecting a floorpan that would best accommodate our family's needs and giving advice on the best suited lots. He answered all of our many questions promptly and accurately and did not hesitate to find an answer if he was unsure. Fast forward a couple weeks, and we happily signed our contract on our Augusta. All the while Erik remained in contact answering questions and setting up appointments for us at the design center. When we had our first meeting at the design center, we were introduced to Paige Schultz who walked us through room by room going over structural options we had initially chosen. Here is where Main Street truly went above and beyond in making sure our needs were met by allowing us the ability to widen doorways and eliminate "barriers" in an effort to make our home as handicap accessible as possible. No other builder we had spoke with would even consider this and it was more of a "get what you get, don't throw a fit attitude". Main Street was completely different in that they were accommodating not only to clients with special circumstances, but also made the whole process as easy and streamlined as possible for us as we where living 100+ miles away at the time. When it came time for our selections appointment, we again met with Paige where she helped us choose the best finishes for our home and was considerate of our budget and in no way tried to play a "salesman" position with the upgrades. A month or so later, we had finally received our permits (covid-19 related delay) and were introduced to our construction manager, Eric Beer. In all the homes we have had built, Eric has hands down been the most attentive, reliable and professional construction manager we have had the delight to work with. Eric took it into his own hands to ensure our house was under his watchful eye at all times and ensured that construction was being carried out in accordance to our unique modifications and requests. Eric was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we may have had and we felt that our home was in as good of hands as our own with Eric on site. Through our walkthroughs, Eric was quick to note any imperfections or other little blemishes that are a given with any home and took care of them in a professional, attentive manner. Eric in no doubts went out of his way to ensure our house was cared for and built to standards that he would hold to his own home. As Eric had predicted, we settled on schedule with Main Streets' preferred title company Lane and Hamner. Here our attorney Bill, was very professional yet comforting in walking us through life's biggest purchase, explaining each part and answering any questions we may have had. After receiving the keys and moving in, we still cannot believe how awesome our home is, along with the great variety of new neighbors who are super friendly and inviting. Everyone at Main Street Homes from Kelsey answering my initial questions, to Erik, to Paige, to Eric, and Bill, everyone involved gets a solid ten from us because they truly went above and beyond their lines of duty to ensure that we were taken care of and satisfied along every step of the way. I cannot say thank you enough for just building a house, but instead for building a home that me and my family are safe in, and can continue to enjoy for many many years to come. Our family would eagerly recommend Main Street Homes to anyone looking to build in the Richmond area. Sincerely, -Nick

Typical tract builder style. Great communication until signing documents, then everything will decline rapidly once they think they got you locked in.
