Everything changed for me he is excellent he takes the time to hear you out and give us expert advice and he has really helped me out when I really needed it. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! The location in Indio is absolutely dreadful!! I took my daughter with sever cold symptoms! Chest is congested cough is horrendous all the doctors says "oh yea I get that all day" Doesn't do a thorough check... all he did was check inside her mouth and ears. "Is she able to sleep" " hardly her cough is keeping her up and it's a really bad cough" "ok I'll give you some promethazine she'll sleep through the night", PROMETHAZINE for a TWO year old. Her state only got worse, took her to a different urgent care 2 days after. Doctor diagnosed her with bronchitis and ear infections send me home with proper treatments. Was here nearly 3 hours with my children.. They sent my medication to the wrong pharmacy; despite me writing the correct address on not one, not two, but THREE different times on everyones paperwork. I didnt have time to drive to the other pharamcy before close. This means I now have to go spend the night in an ER with 2 sick kids under 2 because one of the prescriptions was a rescue inhaler. They said it was a slow day and it can get pretty busy but I was in and out of there in about an hr. The gentleman who took my vials, said it can get up to a two hour wait though. So I got lucky!! The staff were all very friendly and had great bedside manner! The doctor himself was a little rushed but what doctors aren't now a days. He wasn't rude and did answer all my questions. I had to go here for Worker's Comp leave for my employer. Please try to go elsewhere for any care. The workers are rude and not helpful. The office is plain and nothing too exciting to look at. The place seems inexperienced and I would not recommend coming here for any type of care. They want you to complete things electronically, but won't let you email them to fill out forms. read more

Over the phone, the staff was less helpful than they were in person. Ultimately, the care I received was on par. They offer a discount if you don't have insurance. Make sure to ask. Some staff members seem stressed. I gave them a smile and they returned with their own. Things got much better from there. read more

I am a Registered Nurse and came to this office with severe back pain and was told the wait time was about 1 1/2 hours. Since I live close by I went home, called them after 1 hour and was told I would be seen soon and to come back to the clinic. When I arrived I had to wait another 40 minutes in the waiting room. Then I was called back into the exam room where I waited another 40 minutes. I asked staff how long it would take to see me by the doctor and was told that 2 more patients are ahead of me. I asked to be reimbursed for my co-payment and left. The staff is very disinterested, they couldn't care less. The office is poorly managed and patients have to wait long hours. I would never go there again and advise patients to look elsewhere for medical treatment. I also notified my health insurance about my experience at this clinic! read more

Wow. Sooo bad. First of all, I was the only customer, I went in knowing exactly what I needed (so no diagnostic mystery) and pre-verified that they had an x-ray machine before going, and it took over two hours to get out of there--but the real problem was that when I was home in Seattle and called to have the x-rays faxed to my doctor, the first guy I spoke to told me he couldn't do it because he had no way of knowing I was who I said I was. This was after I verified my name, phone number, date of birth, and email. Finally, he agreed to email me the x-rays (I asked for this, he didn't offer)...and he never did. Second time I called, no one answered the phone (this was during operating hours) and there was no way to leave a message. Third time I called, a woman answered and agreed to fax the records to my doctor "right now," and never did. I had to get the x-rays retaken at my local medical center, because of their totally incompetent and lazy staff. (This review is complaining of the office staff. The doctor and the nurse were lovely. But the whole point of urgent care is to relieve pressure on the primary medical system, so providing records to primary care is vital). Go anywhere else. read more

I had been having terrible low back pain. I couldn't sit, stand or walk for very long at a time. This was going on for 2 weeks and I was miserable. Dr. Young took his time with me, asking very good questions and nailed the diagnosis and prescribed exactly what I needed. He explained what was going on and what I needed to do. He also let me know that if I wasn't better in 2 weeks to return. I was feeling better the next day and I'm still feeling well following his advice on meds and home care. I'm my old self again. YAY! The staff was very courteous and efficient. I gave 4 stars due to the long wait (3 hours). The clinic really needs more than one doctor to be present. read more

I had a great experience at this urgent care with my sick 8 month old. Heads up: wait time is extremely long, I waited just under two hours. But, what else do you expect at an urgent care right in central Indio? I see other comments that people have made of others getting called back before them when they had gotten there first; this office also does drug screening, TB testing, etc... so yes, there was many people that got called in before I did when I had been there longer, but that was understandable since they weren't there to see the doctor. The staff was very nice and Dr Attinkson (I might have messed up her name) was so helpful, and took the time to listen to my concerns. It was much appreciated, especially as an anxious first time mom. I will be returning again and do recommend this clinic, just be aware of the long wait times. read more

My husband came in for an appointment that THEY made because they did not want to give him a work note to go back to work when he was initially here a week ago. We come in for the appointment receptionist looks like she doesn't want to be there or maybe tired but doesn't look that way when she goes to the back and huddles with the girls to laugh and chat up a storm. The appointment was at 4:20 it is currently 5:30 (I know that's not a long wait time). People are walking in after us and are being called back within LITERALLY minutes so obviously there is NO WAIT. It is now 5:44, we were finally called back and the MA I'm guessing called him back and I told her that my husband doesn't speak English nor understand it much and she said that it was ok but still proceeds to speak in only English which is fine I guess she assumed I would translate or maybe they don't have Spanish speakers here? Which is honestly a big mistake as Indio/Coachella/Thermal/Mecca have a big Spanish speaking percentage compared to the other cities in the valley But when she looked upset because my husband crossed his legs while getting a blood pressure check is where it got upset. Then she asked for the papers from the hospital where they sent him last week because they couldn't care for his needs here but we were not told they were needed so I guess there is going to be a problem with his visit today but when we tried to give them the papers last week when we came to get the note they wanted nothing to do with it. 6PM and Dr. Young came if he was amazing. He's probably the ONLY good thing about this office! But I wouldn't bring my husband back to deal with the rest . DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE! read more

I was there longer than the ER, I was there 4 hours and the extra hour was waiting for the doctor to walk into the room, these idiots are so uneducated I walked out and they asked me if I was waiting for discharge papers, after I said, "discharge papers ? I had such a pleasant experience from calling to ensure they had an X-ray tech to ease with my visit and Dr. Young was amazing, as well as the rest of the staff. He was extremely thorough and explained things in a clinical and non-clinical (understanding) to give myself a game plan to get better! I'd love to make him my primary doc. read more

Wasted 2 1/2 hours to be prescribed medication that I was already taking and had put in my paperwork and told the DR. About! I went in because my ears were clogged and could hear ringing and chest congestion ! Took chest X-rays and looked at my ear. Waited in a room again for hours to be told okay medication sent to pharmacy! You're all done! When I went to the pharmacy it was over the counter medicine I was ALREADY TAKING!! I called back to ask what happened with my X-ray and ears and why I was prescribed same medication I was already taking. They said X-ray was clear the DR. Didn't see anything wrong with my ear and that he prescribed me medication he thought was suitable for the chest congestion! Again I was already taking the same medication and had no changes in my condition! THIS URGENT CARE IS JOKE! read more

I just saw Dr. Carty D.O. which stands for Doctor of Osteopathy. He took very good care of me. The exam was thorough and he was very in tuned with what I was saying and what I needed. He took the time to connect with me and he really listened. I felt his true compassion for people. He is an amazing Doctor. I wish he could me my PCP. This facility is brand new and is now just working on accepting more insurances such as IEHP but will be accepting it very soon. I highly recommed this place. The ladies that took care of my check in were pleasant, welcoming and friendly. Thanks to Dulce and Alyssa! Especially for being at work on Valentine's Day. Thank you to the entire team at VIP Urgent Care in Indio off Hwy 111. My experience there was outstanding! I have my prescription currently being filled at my pharmacy thanks to Dr. Carty D.O.! This facility is superb and very nice inside. They have two flat screens and the seating in the front is comfy. But most of all...Dr. Carty shows genuine passion for health and wellness. He is kind and truly cares about helping people get well. Thank you Dr. Carty and staff for your genuine concern and the care you gave me today. This is my new go to for Urgent Care in the Desert.
