Dorman Real Estate Services

Dorman Real Estate Services

We moved here two years ago and in all honesty, we really didn't want to rent from a large agency…read more You read/hear about so many horror stories! Well, the rental house we really wanted (and are still currently in) just so happened to be managed by Dorman and I can say with the fullest sincerity that we couldn't be more impressed, thrilled, and grateful for the AMAZING service/relationship we've cultivated with such an outstanding company! We're especially grateful for Rachelle, whose ongoing assistance, patience, and understanding is unbelievably astounding! Raegan has also been delightful to work with so a HUGE thank you to the both of them... they truly rock! I feel as if we're slightly high-maintenance renters, specifically as it relates to our rental renewals. Despite that fact, Rachelle has NEVER once made us feel like a burden (when surely, we must be, at least a little). What's more, last year when local rent prices were through the roof, we were absolutely certain that our rent would skyrocket when we renewed as the lease clearly states that renewal rates can adjust in accordance with current market values. We were flabbergasted to find that Dorman did not raise our rent one penny!!! No joke, this is one amazing company with even more amazing employees! I wouldn't hesitate for a minute renting from and/or recommending Dorman to anyone looking for a good, honest rental company. Thank you Dorman, sincerely, thank you! 6/17/25 UPDATE: I absolutely needed to share yet another "perk" of renting from Dorman. We've recently had two repair issues needing professionals (one major- fridge leak, and one kinda minor-garage door chain snapped). Well, BOTH maintanace requests we entered in their handy-dandy portal and voila, literally first thing the NEXT DAY we had one of their contracted repairman/maintenance companies contact us and prioritize our call to come and fix!!! Who do I so sincerely thank for such crazy good service!?? Anywho, that's the update, further proving that you can't loose if you rent from Dorman!

COMMERCIAL OWNERS BEWARE: I am a real estate attorney, and I do not make this statement lightly. In…read moremy experience, Dorman's performance as a commercial property manager reflects a consistent failure to exercise basic professionalism, sound judgment, and clear communication. Throughout our tenancy, communication was reactive rather than proactive, key control practices were deficient, and routine administrative matters were handled in a way that created unnecessary conflict rather than resolution. Even when issues were raised directly and early, they were either ignored or addressed only after they escalated. Commercial property management requires competence, documentation discipline, and a working understanding of lease enforcement. When those fundamentals are absent, owners--not tenants--ultimately bear the cost. Price does not compensate for poor management. Even if this service were free, I would not recommend it to a commercial property owner who values risk management, tenant stability, and professional oversight.

Three years ago I came across Timberline Property Management and their amazing team. I leased a…read moreproperty from them for 2 1/2 years, and was sad to part ways when lease was over (kicking myself for not staying w them!). We moved down the street into an apartment complex and have been plagued with issues in the almost 7 months we have been living there. I reached back out to Timberline and Amy, Jennifer, Julia... A.k.a. the dream team... found my family a beautiful new home for the same price we were paying at the apartment. I tell you these people genuinely care about their tenants, treat them with respect, and always do right by them. I am a single mom on a limited budget, with their rental program to ownership program... I know I'm in the right hands to eventually own a home. Almost 20 years of renting and I've never had such an amazing experience with a property management company and will never rent from anyone else again. The fact that they will also help me find my family's forever home... brings me such peace of mind and makes the process so much less intimidating. I am forever grateful for this team, and would recommend them to everyone I can :-). A special thank you to Jennifer... You are one in 1 million! Julia is the realtor that everybody dreams of, and Amy is an amazing addition to an incredible team! Brad...you've built an astonishing team!

Bijou Property Management Company is an irreputable company, don't waste your time being their…read moretenant or offering your property for them to manage. In a nutshell, I had purchased 5 dryers. All were in working order prior to being brought home. The house wiring to the dryer outlet was faulty and was not fixed for 8 MONTHS. I took Bijou Property Management to small claims court for blowing out my 5 dryers (they would not work at the home) and was awarded $1000. My lease is up August 31. I was planning on renewing my lease as my family is settled here and school is about to start. I just received a letter of non-renewal of lease at my door Friday August 2nd. I have kept the property maintained. I have paid rent and bills on time. Fifi Walker Realtor/ property manager has handed me projects to complete for the home. I was given fluorescent lighting to install myself. I was given screens to put on windows that I had to install myself until professional installments could be made via their handyman. I was given wall protectors to install myself to protect walls from closing door knobs. My wife was hanging laundry in the winter to line dry from 5 to 9 months pregnant and down icy steps. I've had to properly seal the front door from the elements. I've had to repair and secure the front French door latch because it would not properly latch and stay shut. I've been cleaning up roofing screws, embedded nails in concrete, discarded metal scraps, broken glass, and abandoned silverware scattered on the property since move in. We have four young children. Safety has been an ongoing issue. My children have stepped on said nails and find broken glass weekly. It took 3 months to repair and remove debris from the broken backyard fence. The fence builder is the son of the one of the property managers: anything to make/save a buck at the expense of the tenant. Backstory: I was injured in March due to a work accident and was forced to be out of work. Bijou Property Management would rather throw my family on the street than deal with the inconvenience of providing a safe home for a tenant. Jennifer R. Powilleit Owner/operator has stated that she will not be willing to pay for any of the above mentioned breaches of safety. Making money is their only motivation even going so far as to state that any settlement reached would come from Fifi Walker's paycheck but has no qualms about putting my family on the street with virtually no notice. I have asked for a letter of recommendation and a reason for non-renewal. I have not been given either. I know it was an act of retaliation from Bijou Property Management and its owner/operator Jennifer R. Powilleit and their lackluster/ slow responses to valid concerns lead me to believe they want us gone and are discriminating against non-whites.
