Every time I come in the open "gym" there is a water heated bed to massage your back, then there is a masseuse to massage your back for approx. 5 mins. You also have power plates which is vibration therapy (can work up to 10 minutes +). Then there is the adjustment bed and neck stretch area. All these things are SO worth it. So for that reason, I have always tended to stay clear of it...well, after a second round of dealing with the C-19 virus I found myself battling the long term effects from the virus. My chief complaint was that I was suffering from positional vertigo, migraines and extreme fatigue, which had become almost debilitating. I tried different medications, along with physical therapy, which wasn't helping the situation. After speaking with a friend who had also suffered from some of the same symptoms, he had told me to give the Thompson Chiropractic team a try. My wife was also a patient and swore by them. I felt at this point, I really had nothing to lose, since nothing else seemed to be helping. I can honestly say now, I am 1000% glad I did! Although I am not completely healthy yet, I am definitely on the road to a full recovery. I certainly have more good days than bad anymore, and I would highly recommend using this medical practice to help get you literally straightened out (no pun intended). Along with chiropractic work, I also receive acupuncture and some PT. These things used in combination have helped tremendously. All the staff at the Thompson Healthcare and Sports Medicine Center are outstanding! I believe the word needs to get out even more that this is a really wonderful practice for not only treatment for back pain, but also care for the whole person. Dr. Katie Holstein runs it on her own. The practice has a personalized, small business feel and differentiates itself from all those large clinics out there these days. She has really gotten to know me and appreciates my business. But that personalized care translates into treating conditions that other doctors might not have the time and/or patience to delve into. For instance, she seemed genuinely concerned that I had chronically tight calves. She really investigated options for me while other practitioners just told me to stretch more. She suggested I try compression socks, and that finally did the trick. I never would have known otherwise. Without medication or surgery, I'm now able to overcome that chronic pain. Highly recommend!
