I had a great experience at VIP Pasadena! I called the day before and got an appointment easily. When I showed up my car was taken back right at my appointment time and finished in an hour. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the work itself was flawless. This was the first time I've tinted my windows and I was encouraged to go with a darker tint during the consultation, but in future personally I would go with 35% instead of 20%. My only criticism is that the residue from the spray used to apply the tint was not cleaned off the exterior or interior of my car. Overall, I definitely recommend VIP Pasadena :) read more

These guys are fantastic. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Here's what I had them do for my BMW: - Window Tint - Stereo Installation - Wheel Refinishing They sell a variety of window tint including higher-end 3M Crystalline window tint - which I purchased and love. They did clean work, Robert is a perfectionist when it comes to any installation - he was going over the car with a fine tooth comb. I had never dealt with window tint before and it became immediately obvious that having someone who is dedicated to detail makes a big difference. These guys have a lot of tint experience and they are very professional. My car is almost entirely stock and very clean, I wanted something that would look as close to a factory tint as possible, and they didn't let me down. If you're thinking about getting your windows tinted, visit VIP. The prices are more than reasonable and the work is high quality. The stereo installation job I threw at them was a tough one. I bought a chinese factory stereo look-alike that had more features than the factory stereo. Documentation was... poor, installation was tricky, special wiring was needed, nothing was standard. To top it off I needed a microphone tastefully hidden and a rear view camera hooked up. Once again the guys at VIP demonstrated that they knew their stuff and got things working perfectly. A few weeks after the installation I discovered that I had a defective rear view camera (which I had purchased elsewhere and had VIP install). The VIP guys helped me diagnose the problem and installed a new camera free of charge despite the fact that they had installed MY hardware perfectly the first time. Couldn't ask for more. My factory rims had some curb rash left for me from my car's previous owner. I naturally thought of VIP because of the fantastic work they had done for me before. They refinished and painted my rims for a phenomenal price (half the price of a nearby body shop) and I couldn't be happier. The rims look fantastic, and my car looks better than ever. If you're thinking about getting anything like the above done on your car, I highly recommend Robert and the guys at VIP Auto Customs. One more thing.... I don't understand some of the reviewers here wanting to get a window tint done in 10 seconds. Do you tint your car so often that you need it done that fast? Honestly, if these guys took a week to do a window tint (don't worry, they don't), it would still be worthwhile. read more

My car had gotten broken into and I desperately needed to replace my window and get an alarm system (I didn't have one previously). I called 3 places in my area n decided to go with this place. They charged me 150 for a new window and 200 for a new alarm system. The service wasn't horrible, took them a little over an hr n a half to install both, wasn't a busy day for them. I intentionally didn't write this review right away because wanted to see how the alarm would hold up. According to the rep if you bang on any of the windows the car alarm will go off, we'll it doesn't. I also have to be right by the car for the alarm to lock n unlock my car, I am constantly pressing the button before it works. Then recently I found out the alarm system I got is only valued at 170.00 which means he charged me more. They have a groupon deal right now where you can get the same alarm system I got for 70.00, ouch. It is my fault for not checking but still a little angry he charged me 200 instead of 170 (and if the alarm is on groupon for 70 then I know it isn't even worth 170.00). Maybe it's because I'm a girl who looks like she's 18? Not sure but I wouldn't go here ever again. read more

I really appreciated the customer service I received at VIP. My car had aftermarket HID headlights installed incorrectly by the previous owner and they were no longer working. I was quoted around $400 to have everything correctly installed, but JD worked with me, even suggesting that I drive two blocks down the street to Auto Zone and pick up the headlight bulbs myself for a cheaper price. At the end of the day I was able to get out the door for $180 including the bulbs and installation. Quite a savings from the first quote! JD treated me with respect and I never felt taken advantage of, (something that happens often when it comes to single women and cars). I wired some fog lights for my 2013 charger SE, just needed some help with the relay and connecting it to turn on with my parking lights. This project could take hours to try and run wires through the cars fire wall. I skipped all that and had the guys from VIP hook me up.
