Gorgeous. Historic.
I was there for a Berry Bros & Rudd Italian wine tasting (http://londonist.com/2010/03/an_anteprima_and_an_en_primeur_with.php) . It took place in the Hall of Five Kings. Neato. The building's been around since the 15th century, but it's reckoned that London vintners occupied the same site for many years before that.
Located in the City, right on the Thames, Vintners' Hall is well worth a visit. Odds are when you find yourself here it's because you've been invited to a special event. If you happen to be going, give yourself time to look around and admire the collection of wine related ephemera (much of it associated with the British Monarchy) as well as to simply soak up the historic atmosphere. read more
