Very poor service. I've had vintage pools servicing my pool for chemical only for about 2 years. On 7/31 my pool turned green with algae. I called vintage pool and they sent a tech who isn't the regular tech. I was told the pool had no chlorine. Isn't that what I pay for? Ok mistakes happen. This week, I usually get someone out on Mondays but since it was labor day no one came. I assumed someone would come Tuesday but again no one came. The pool turned green again and I measured the chemicals and chlorine was at 0. The office said we didn't come out Monday because of labor day. Was Tuesday a holiday as well? Hello Yelper's, Please read the other reviews and vintages responses to those reviews is to "blame" the "customer" similar to what they accused me of "mis treating" their pool service technicians instead of excepting responsibility for hiring poor employees, perhaps over working and under paying them or maybe even poor business practices in general. Tracy water is NOT high in calcium and not only where my independent test confirmed that my chemicals where perfect! But when Vintage "RETESTED" themselves the pool chemicals where good and couldn't explain why there guy who was the supervising tech tested a "NEW" pool and was claiming my calcium was outrageously high (scary) and because I caught him and then had pool independently tested and vintage retested! The same supervisors technicians came out and added what appeared to be unmarked bottle we believe to be calcium or unknown liquid and then when I had pool independently retested my chemical where outrageously high mainly calcium! So this employee could have really damaged my pool ! Be warned of this shady unethical business behavior!! In my experience with them they are a poorly run company that can really damage a customer's pool and unless your home to supervise their work a typical customer would never know! They are shady and totally unethical!!! BE WARNED!! I don't like leaving these types of reviews but, I don't want to see other homeowners pools get damaged! Customer need to trust and rely on the pool service company above most services because they can do the most damage and it could take weeks if not months or even years before the homeowner catches on and by then the damage can be costly and trying to blame the pool company can be a uphill battle so customer's should and in my opinion rely on these reviews! So read them carefully and look at vintage responses carefully! Then make up your own minds.. Hats off to Vintage pool and Debbie in their service department! I have a 3 1/2 year old pool and one of the LED lights failed. I was referred to Vintage Pool Service by the pool builder. Vintage Pool Service came out and diagnosed the light failure after a thorough check of the system. These lights are $1,000 each to replace so needless to say I wasn't happy with it failing after only 3 1/2 years. The Vintage service tech encouraged me to call the builder and the light manufacturer to see if they would cover it, which I knew would likely be a big hassle. Less than 24 hours later, and before I was even able to contact the pool builder or manufacturer, I received a call from Debbie at Vintage informing me that she had already spoken to both companies and had gotten an approval to replace the light under warranty!! She also refunded my initial service call fee! This saved me an incredible amount of time, and money trying to get this replaced under warranty. For a company to go this far above and beyond is just fantastic, and is a rarity in today's business world. I'd give Debbie and Vintage 10 stars if I could (and I rarely give 5 Stars). Their customer service and communication is just top notch and a breath of fresh air. Thank you!!! read more

Vintage Pool service is a joke , they charged me a $30 inspection fee for someone to come out take a 2 minute look at the pool and suggest no help other than to drain and clean the pool empty, mind you its only been light green for two weeks, literally if that's what I was looking to do or hear I could have done that on my own, didn't need someone to absolute waste my time . Technicians name was Alex. After, I got a second opinion from another company who not only were they more helpful with advise, professional but didn't charge me a dime. I brought my pool sweep in to be fixed. When I brought the sweep in I also had the hose connected with the sweep. When I received the sweep back I got it back with the hose not on the sweep, the piece that keeps the hose on the sweep is missing. I went into the store and told the lady at the front counter that I had my sweep at the store to get fix and received it back with a missing part, I showed her the picture of where the part was missing on the sweep. Her response blew me away, "I didn't work on it" what kind of customer service is this? I have been a customer for many years. She absolutely refused to help me nor didn't even know how to order the part! I went across town to Leslie pool supply and the ladies were wonderful! Our pool cleaner finally gave up and I needed a replacement I was made aware Vintage had Maytronics in stock in addition to other outside entertainment items including jacuzzis so I visited the store met Samantha "Sam". I found the replacement cheaper on Amazon but the customer service Sam displayed along with her knowledge ,my wife and I decided to purchase from Vintage pool and I got a 30 month warranty Amazon only had 24 month warranty. I am going to make Vintage my pool resource center from now on as I feel supporting businesses in these times is important Samantha made the decision easy. read more

I really like the staff. Marcus is one of the best and most friendly pool technicians around! Justin is really cool too. Kathy in the office is amazing!!! She is very friendly and gets issues taken care of. My only concern is the pool technician musical chairs. We had Marcus for a long time and loved him, but cor some reason he got moved. When it comes to chemicals sure it's simply for this company to come clean. But my complaint is regarding trouble shooting and repairs. I'm new to the whole pool thing. My pool lights went out and vintage pool said I HAD to change the entire housing which cost over $1000. Come to find out a simply light bulb change was all I need which I found out how to do on YouTube. Next my waterfall accessory stop working. I get it they wanted $120 just to do a troubleshoot and assessment. Recommend I might need new pump. Called another company who walked me through everything over the phone and was patient. Guess what all I needed to do was add water to the pump and it started working. This company didn't even charged even though we were on the phone about 20 minutes. I still complimentary gave them guy $50 bucks for his assistance and patience as I'm new. My opinion is this company will only recommend what they can get paid for the most. They will not give out other options if it does not financially make them richer. I get company's need to make money. But people are looking for company that can guide them with all options possible not just one option that makes them the most money. Don't use them for pool service. I got the $140 full service which is once a week cleaning,chemicals, and to empty my baskets. Every month they missed a week and charged me a full month of service. Chemicals is not communicating with billing So you have to catch them ripping you off yourself. They will pay you back but YOU have to catch it.Today was the final straw where they showed up and didn't touch my pool and charged me for it. Forgot to take pictures of the baskets full of debris. They're either shady or negligent or I would say both by the things I had to go through. I've been a chemical pool tx. customer for some time now.I recently received a call informing me that the pool water level device on the pool needed to be adjusted or repaired,according to the pool tech info.that they were given by the tech. I asked the phone person about the cost to repair the problem.She very promptly replied ,without taking a breath,that the fee for just coming out to my home is $185.00 PLUS the hourly cost and any parts needed. PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU WANT THE FULL DETAILS OR LOOK UP MY REVIEW ON THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU WHICH SHOULD BE PROCESSED IN THE NEXT 4 BUSINESS DAYS**** When my pool was built, it came with a solar cover blanket. I called Vintage for a service to install the blanket cover and purchase a reel, but was referred to a third party. For his privacy, his initials is D.W. Cathy from Vintage said he works for D n D pools. I trust that as a referral, he is licensed and ethical. I was wrong. I have voicemail's from Cathy to confirm this referral. Please message me if you would like to hear. I spoke to him on the phone. He was a bit unprofessional, even cussed on the phone. I should have listened to my gut and decline this referral. When I mentioned I wanted a reel, and for it to be installed, he quoted me $475 plus freight shipping. Doing my research, I know basic reels cost $150-$250 for a BASIC reel (plastic with no wheels). So $475 seemed a bit pricy, but to pay for his time and labor, $475 was reasonable to me. In brief, he did partial work, built the reel but did not cut the blanket because too many wrinkles. He said he would return in a few hours after the sun clears out the wrinkles. In the meanwhile, he said he needs partial payment. So he asked for $525, I was shocked and said that is not partial payment? He said labor is $150/hr. I said the agreement was $450 for everything. He denied that, started cussing because I was refusing to pay. He told me to pay the $525 and "cut my own f*ckin blanket then". Since the price negotiated was over the phone, I had no proof of our negotiated price. But knowing this specific reel cost $150-$200, I would not have agreed to pay nearly $1,000 for a product worth $150-$200. Although I could have refused to pay, I would rather have him get off my property and never return. I paid the $525 price tag for partial work, and I told him not to return. I have security cameras all over my property, and I can show this exchange. He provided me with a receipt labeled D n D pools in bold and Stonehenge Pools in smaller text with license # 874045. It turns out D n D Pools does not exist, but Stonehenge Pools does. However, his license from the receipt expired on 03/31/2012. He should not be doing any pool service or work regarding pools. I wrote a check for $525, and within 15 minutes, Chase bank calls me and is asking if I wrote this check. I asked if there was a problem, and the Chase associate just told me that this was flagged and need to verify I wrote it. I was close to saying no to keep my money, but I do not want to deal with D.W any more, so I verified it. But that just goes to show that he may have scammed others before if he was flagged. I write checks often, and never once called to verify I wrote a check in my life. See my attached photo and google or amazon search the product. You will see that product is not even close to $475 and shipping should not even be $48. He is a scam artist referred through Vintage, and they took no accountability or responsibility when I tried contacting them multiple times. This is the absolute worst pool company!!! They let my brand new pool turn green after only one month of service. They said it was because they were training a new person. That is completely unacceptable!!!! Then after the wind storm they let my pool sit dirty for a week. The technician did not show up to vacuum and clean my pool on Wednesday as scheduled. The next day my normal technician came to vacuum and clean ... it started lightly sprinkling for a couple minutes and he left!!!!! He called into the office and said it was pouring down rain. I call in and they said oh well we will have to do it next week!!!! So now my brand new $150k pool is supposed to sit dirty for two weeks. The supervisor Debbie would not let me talk to the owner of the company. I can not believe how terrible this company is!!! Do not let her fake nice voice fool you over the phone. FURTHER UPDATE!!! I've had two separate companies look at our pool and give us AWFUL news. Vintage, YES kept our ph balanced, HOWEVER our chlorine level is a 10!!!! No WAY should our pool be higher than a 3-MAYBE 4 if a dirty dog was using it! We were told by BOTH that public pools that test at higher than a 9 require being CLOSED DOWN for a WEEK in order to filer out the chlorine! WTH! Also, being that the "TECH" constantly poured the chemicals in one place (THE SHALLOW END OF OUR POOL), our pebble tech has CHEMICAL BLEACH MARKS! Our pool is only 3 years old! OUR PEBBLE TECH IS RUINED!!! I've called and left 2 messages for Athena and the owner NO ONE has called me back. Next I'll be filing a court complaint. DO NOT USE!!! I said that we had just replaced the DE filter and she went on to tell me that they wouldn't be able to start until the filter was fixed..... What does replacing the DE filter mean to you? Really an unpleasant experience- I had first gone to the brick and mortar location and the women I met were great. It was when I had their service guy come was when it became a rip off. I was charged $125 for 10 minutes of nothing. He told me my remote was broken therefore he couldn't do anything. We have been customers of vintage pool service for almost 20 years and have been basically happy with their service but recently their accounting dept. has dropped the ball. They raised their prices, which is understandable, but when payments crossed over in the mail they started charging us late fees and finance charges on the late fees no matter how many times I contacted their office to get it straightened out. Sad to think a business owner would lose a long time customer for a book keepers mistake and ignorance over solving a simple math problem - Rhona-. They did put the original plumbing a little close but it is still within the standard . It could be moved some , it would take a little creativity and with an appreciative customer we would try to do that . However that doesn't fit for you . You are demanding , arrogant ,condescending . I purchased a Cal Spa just a little over 2 years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. I even hired an attorney to try to reason with Barry but he was unreasonable, greedy and just money hungry. Believe me he has no respect for his customers or is he selling a decent product. Cal Spas is no better to deal with. Ask the dealer in Livermore, Sonora, or all over the bay area. Cal Spas does not take care of their customers either and no one will service your spa because Cal Spas does not pay their bills. I have a $6,000 pit in my backyard. If you own a pool how long would you say it takes to do a decent brushing of all the pool walls, landings, and steps? How does 72 seconds sound? That doesn't sound right does it? Well, according to Vintage Pools this is an acceptable amount of time. I sent video to them that shows how my pool was being brushed, and the video does have a timer on it. Surprisingly, they responded with "He did exactly what he was supposed to do". Prior to sending the video I called and spoke with Debbie in the Chemical department. I asked her what the average time was to brush a pool and she responded "about 15 minutes, but it does depend on the pool". When I told her I have a video that shows him very poorly brushing the pool for a total of 72 seconds she gasped and was very surprised. She even admitted it wasn't right. After she and the supervisor watched the video they called me back and said he did exactly what he was supposed to do. I could not believe it. I reminded her that just a few minutes prior she stated the average was about 15 minutes (depending on the pool). So how in the world do you go from 15 minutes to 72 seconds? Over the past 4 months I complained to them several times my pool was not getting brushed properly. I had algae spots that were just growing and growing. I even took pictures of these spots right after the cleaner left my home and sent them to Vintage pools. I told them their guy had just left and obviously did not brush the pool. They did apologize and said they would send someone out, but they never did. I have a large pool with a diving board and I know for a fact that 72 seconds is not acceptable and it is just crazy that they tried to defend that. I should have listened when several other past Vintage Pool customers told me to not do business with them. I wish I could upload the video, but it only lets me upload photos.
