For a fairly small town Llandudno Junction is well served when it comes to grocery shopping. As…read morewell as the Co-op there are also Tesco, Netto and Iceland stores. The Co-op has an advantage in that it's located in the centre of the town and close to the more populated areas. Although there isn't much on street parking there is a free car park just up the road. They stock a decent range of food, drink, household goods and newspapers. There's also a cash machine next to the front door. It's a real community shop as everyone seems to know everyone else (expect me as I don't live in the Junction) and it always has a very friendly vibe. No matter what time of day or night you go there, there always seem to be customers so you'd think they must do very well.

When Woolworths closed down at the end of last year the Conwy Spar shop took the decision to move a…read morefew doors down the High Street to occupy their old property. Apparently the old Woolies was a larger shop although from what I remember of the old Spar it isn't all that bigger. Having said that they have done a very good job in refitting the new shop. It's very clean and modern looking. As well as the usual convenience store produce you'll also find hot takeaway food, fresh coffee and in homage to Woolies there's also a 'pick and mix'. Given it's location and a relative lack of competition it's usually busy and will no doubt be successful.
