I actually would give this attorney -5 stars. I paid him a retainer fee over 20k because CPS took my daughters newborn at birth for no justified reason.The caseworker used provable false allegations, withheld crucial evidence from the court, and discriminated against my daughter and violated her and my grandchilds civil rights. We discussed in detail exactly what the money was going to cover which included reopening the case from 6yrs prior to introduce new medical evidence that proves she was worngly charged and had her first baby taken over a misdiagnosed metabolic bone disease of prematurity that causes non painful asymptomatic fractures that are commonly mistaken for abuse. Most of the money was going to cover the travel costs for him and two doctors who specialize in that condition and would testify at the trial. After being postponed several times until 10 months post removal Vince didn't show up, no doctors came, no motion was filed to reopen the prior cas. He never traveled out at all, he paid a local public pretender $200 to stand in for him until the trial and ditched our case on them. They weren't familiar with details and he didn't forward any of the evidence we had given him. Completely blew it and the court ruled to by pass on reunification even though my daughter completed all her services. My daughter who was told she wouldn't be able to convince more children after complications with her first pregnancy forced doctors to deliver her baby 3 months early, was pregnant (very high risk again) and CPS took that baby at birth as well. He refused to return my money and had the odasity to send me a bill for another 12k threatening to sue me if I don't pay it I found out from the person who did my consultation that they quit working for him because he was doing the same thing to all his clients. It's been 22 months since they took her daughter and 10 months since they took her third child(my sister adopted her first son and has the other two) My daughter won her appeal they reversed the lower courts ruling and ordered both be returned to my daughter based on the fact there was no evidence indicating any danger at the time of removal or that they were at risk of suffering eminent harm caused by their mother like CPS claimed. He could have gotten the case closed along time ago and prevented the devastating loss of her third child. Find someone else or go pro say whatever you do don't waste your time and money hiring this attorney. Don't give up keep fighting Im going to do my best to expose the agency and those profiting from the crimes they commit. Hopefully this wrongdoing will end up costing them a lot of what these people care about more than the well-being of children and families. What they took is priceless the pain and suffering caused can't be fived with money. But that's the main reason why they take peoples children and the goal is to not give them back the court appointed attorneys and everyone else in the courtroom except for the judge conspire together against parents.Dont be fooled and don't be afraid to speak up in court if they don't want to share evidence you have or you feel like they are not defending you fairly don't allow them to sink you and don't miss your opportunity to interrupt and tell the judge you want to fire your public defender and you need the court to appoint a different attorney you have the right to competent fair representation it's called a faretta motion. You have a right under the Constitution to effective counsel paid for and appointed by the court. The judge makes their rulings based on the facts and evidence presented and they will go with CPS recommendations without requiring them to show physical proof that they evidence to back up their claims unless you ask to see evidence that proves removal was necessary and to see the exidence that no reasonable alternatives could be implemented to keep from removing the child. The best advise didn't come from anyone profiting from the trafficking of peoples children. It came from the ombudsperson receptionist she said words can be like magic if you know how to use them in the proper time frames she advised within 30 days of removal send a certified letter to the agency address to personal in charge like the director asking for second evaluation and reconsideration on the agencies decision. Tell them why you don't agree that it was in the best interest of your child to be removed from your custody and requested this review be done by a third party if there was evidence not mentioned in the case report make sure to include copies and ask that the review include this evidence you feel is important and should be considered if there are statements or facts that are not true state those corrections. Explain your capabilities of caring for and keeping your child safe. Give three alternatives that could remedy any concerns. If the agency does not respond or produce that evidence the judge will drop the case just fyi​ read more

I've first consulted with attorney Vincent Davis it seems like forever ago. I had CPS problems and he helped me through that case and now I'm suing CPS. Over the many many months I haven't been able to hire him, but I watch his YouTube channel and we text often. I asked questions and he answers them. He has been a great support and resource for me in my battle. He is extremely knowledgeable about CPS matters, fighting them in CPS court and now suing them in Federal Court. My exeriences include; - Quick to take the case, but immediately slacked once the retainer was paid. - Their work contained errors, mistakes, in addition to missed deadlines and deliverables. - No intention to attend the meeting, no plan, no scheduling, no strategy. - Invoices contained hours of waste that did not help my case, rather hurt or weaken my case. - Numerous billing errors: I was told it's my job to find errors and correct. I cannot believe the low level of morale and competency this firm has as I also worked at a 100-lawyer firm. Let's file complaints at California Bar Association. It has an online form and easy to fill out. Let's show a power of consumers and act together: after several similar complaints, this firm will have to shut down. I've had a similar experience that other people have that have left reviews. I was given a real pep talk by Herb, promising that I'd get positive results by a specific point in my case. This didn't happen. He also told me that in his opinion my case could be resolved with my initial deposit of $5,250.00. I've now spent twice that, and my case still isn't resolved. Additionally I explained to Herb that I was on disability and IF I had to come up with more money, it would take time to be able to come up with that money, I was told not to worry, they would work with me. This was a lie, the day my court date came they quickly started talking to me about hiring them for representation during the trial and I was told to plead not guilty. It just keeps getting better! After not hearing from this law firm for over 1 year, they filed a lawsuit against me for over $20,000, saying I owed them for back legal fees! I NEVER RECEIVED A PROPER INVOICE WITH CORRECT AMOUNTS! Long story short, they received a judgement against me, which I appealed and when finally, with legal support, had the judgement overturned by a court that realized just how screwed up this office is. I usually never write reviews of any type, but this time I felt it necessary so that other consumers are aware of the horrific business ethics this law firm has. I retained this firm and was told to give a retaining fee of about $2500. I met with the attorney once for about 15 minutes and a month later I withdrew my claim and no longer did needed their services. I asked the Firm about my refund because I knew for a fact $2500 dollar deposit was not used... Unless a couple of emails back and forth cost that much! This has been going on since early 2013. Their customer service department tells me that their billing department will call me and they never do. This has been a nightmare and it has gotten to the point that I have threaten to file a complaint with the BBB and government agencies. If you go on the BBB website, a complaint has been filed against this Firm...and guess what? They never responded to any requests from the BBB either!!! My wife contacted the firm today for juvenile services. She spoke with a case manager who badgered her repeatedly. This employee per my wife's description sounded extremely uneducated and lacking professionalism. The conversation became so heated that the Attorney had to interrupt the phone call to speak with my wife. The case manager went as far as saying" We will do whatever you want mam, as long as you can pay us $350 an hour." In a sarcastic manner. However after trying to contact them multiple time over a two week period they finally respond to me, telling me I owe them and that what I paid was a deposit and they will not do anything until I make the next payment. I am VERY disappointed with the Vincent W. Davis and Associates and their billing department. When we signed the agreement I was promised that any unused potion of my retainer would be returned to me. My case was a family maintenance plan that was transferred due to moving and only required representation at the acceptance and dismissal hearings. I paid the retainer, Mr. Davis showed up to the acceptance hearing and I nor the Social work heard from the firm until the day of the dismissal when another attorney from the firm represented me. I never received a monthly statement even though I called several times asking for one. My case has been closed over 2 months ago and I have yet to get any statements or refund of the balance of my retainer! I have called and talked to the receptionist and the accounting department continually getting the run around. I was finally told last week by accounting that Mr. Davis approved the refund of retainer and they were going to over night a check to me. A week later and no check and still no statement. I called today and was told I MUST have a phone conference with Mr. Davis himself to find out why I haven't received my check. I am preparing to file a complaint to CA Bar Association. I don't even know where to begin. I was fighting for custody of my daughter and these attorneys talked a big game, but they did not deliver. I ended up winning however, it was only because my ex got caught with meth in his home while my daughter was there, open and shut case. I had to call them 2 weeks prior to the final court hearing and remind them that we needed to talk about the case. I had to place many phone calls to them and they were never to be returned promptly. Even when a restraining order was put against my ex and I called them in a panic it took 7 days and 3 calls to get a returned call. They did nothing but file paper work. As far as I am concerned these lawyers are nothing but glorified paralegals that do not return calls and charge way too much money . We are forever grateful to Mark Tseselsky for his awesome work on our Exemption Denial appeal with the Department of Social Services. First of all, this office is out of and not IRVINE!!! However, I was billed for attorney drive time to Orange Supreme court from Arcadia, and have no knowledge of Orange county court practices. We have had a case open since November '12 and only have had continuances with no sense of resolution to June '13 and have been charged almost $10,000!!!!! Liars and deceivers! I asked for a flat rate and was promised one in a face to face meeting where it was expressed that if they could not produce a flat rate we would no longer use their service, Vincent Davis himself promised a flat rate then billed me for an additional 2 months of continuances only to say , "it would cost me too much to quote a flat rate and I would loose money." I am being charged with over $4,000 and they have submitted paperwork to the courts that they are no longer representing me because they would not take payments and require payment in full. I am a singlet father fighting a drug addicted mother, and this should not have called for almost $10,000 with nothing done! Please Please do NOT use this service! they are liars and will NOT help you! After seeking a new attorney, Mr. Kevin Quals, I have learned that the angle that Mr. Davis used has been inadequate and a waste of my time and money but now I, a single father, have to fight my attorneys as well as my sons' drug addicted mother. I have retained Vincent Davis law office to handle my custody case. I am very pleased with the attorneys that have been working on my case. They are professional, caring and want to get the best resolution possible. I don't feel like just another case. I have worked with many attorneys and this law firm as been far the worst. Mr. Davis is quick to take new clients. Only when he knows he is getting a check, is he available. After that I had many missed appointments by him personally. He would set up phone conferences and never call. His staff reflects his value system. I would not get any billings, but would get rude phone inquiries from his staff saying that I would have to make a ridiculous payment or a substitution of attorney would be filed. After receiving such poor service, I was happy to have him drop my case. He did not. He continued to bill me and then threatened a lawsuit when I was not able to pay his outrageous bill. It would be more than willing to pay the bill if he acted in an ethical or caring manner. My case was shuffled from attorney to attorney. One time I was trying to get a hold of Ms. Nakamura, after leaving messages for a week she finally called me back and was very abrupt with me. She told me that she had been in court all those days and did not have time to go to the office and get messages and she did not get emails on her cell phone. Another attorney would call me and know no particulars of my case. He finally agreed to call me back when he had more information. Being a bully is the way in which Mr. Davis operates when he does not get his way. He threatened me with a lawsuit and said that he would serve me at my home or work in order to embarrass me. Again, I have worked with and for many attorneys and would not recommend him. My case was very personal and sensitive to me and he and his staff made it worst. He will try to get you to continue and appeal your case so he can get more money. I will be contacting the star bar regarding his treatment of clients.
