I will start by saying Stan Lee's training probably saved my only child's life. My husband and I…read moreenrolled her when she was 5 or 6 years old after Mr Stan visited her elementary school. She worked her way up to a green belt, but eventually left to focus on figure skating and dance. Fast forward many years, and our daughter is now a trainee with Ballet Hartford in Connecticut. Within two weeks of moving to the city, she was assaulted while taking the bus home from work. But thanks to Mr Stan, our girl is no shrinking violet. She kicked the crap out of the guy and ran to a nearby coffee shop to get help. Needless to say, I can't recommend his training program highly enough. It was literally a life saver.

My daughter has thrived since being here. She has built up her confidence, made friends and improved her grades, along with learning a wonderful practice! The coaching here is…read moretop-tier, I trained with Coach Brooks, Coach Caressa, and Coach Jake and was pushed past my limits and felt better with each session. I have been training for about 6 months, prior to stopping by this gym but whether you're experienced or just starting out, the coaches take the time to help you improve and feel comfortable. Honestly, I would come back to Daytona just to train here again. Highly recommend this gym to anyone in the area or even just visiting!

Okay here is my fair and honest review:…read more This place is actually pretty good for learning the SKILLS of martial arts. I became pretty damn good in a short period of time. Now, with that being said, this gym is NOT friendly to anyone who doesnt fit the mold of "family oriented" meaning you will be the subject of harrassment there on all levels (physical, emotional, sexual) The husband and wife owners have some weird dynamic of the wife "fighting off" threatening females who are receiving attention from the husband because of their attractiveness and athletic potential. This can lead to situations that will put you in an unfair situation and result in serious harm to your physical health (she crushed a girls windpipe during sparring and she almost died) So with that being said, be very cautious about revealing your occupation or social media if you have an onlyfans, do web cam, or are a dancer because you will become targeted. Take care.

My daughter Athena just joined Jukido Academy and is already much happier there than the local…read morekarate class she was in for nearly 2 years. My wife and I really like that she has to earn her ranks and not just be given a participation trophy/belt after so many weeks. Sensei Rego is knowledgeable and truly dedicated to his art and his students. it's easy to see that this dojo is all about the student's progression and not about the tuition/fee, not to mention the prices are very fair.

I can't say enough good things in one review about Jukido Academy!…read moreI want to start off by saying that Sensei George Rego is FANTASTIC at what he does. He is so patient, kind, respectful & understanding. The dojo is set up very nicely, is so clean, and there is soft padding on the floor that keeps the students safe while being instructed. All of the students are very engaged, focused and determined. One of the many things that won me over in deciding to have my oldest son become a part of the Jukido Academy family was the fact that the older students are so very helpful during lessons with the younger students. Every student I have met has been kind, respectful & welcoming to my son & our family. All the students are expected to help each other during the practicing of Sensei's instructions. Sensei George & his other instructors are fun, energetic and 100% engaged at all times. The children's program meets twice a week and my son wishes it was every night because he loves it so much. The Jukido Academy has already given my son so much! He is more confident, self-sufficient, well behaved, respectful, patient and shows so much more pride in the work that he does during homeschool lessons, too! I love the core values that are the driving force here at this Dojo. They don't simply give out a new belt to a student simply because of attendance, so no "participation trophy". A progression in belt color may only be achieved through hard work and mastering of the skill-set for which that belt requires. I also love the one week free trial that they offer in order to ensure that the Dojo is a good fit for the student and their family. The monthly rate is 100% affordable and the Dojo is completely transparent regarding pricing, schedules and what is expected from the student and family. As a homeschooling, budget-minded mom of three, I don't like surprises, especially when it comes to $$. To be honest, the principles and values that my son has and will learn are priceless! Sensei George and the Jukido Academy have an open door policy and are very receptive to questions and concerns. I didn't really know what Jujitsu entailed and what exactly my son would be learning, so Sensei sent me videos and then took the time to explain further regarding what I would expect. I couldn't ask for a better instructor for my child & myself! I can tell that he is absolutely dedicated to the teachings of Jujitsu and I loved learning about this form of self defense. My son, Michael, is a unique child and is special needs. The fact that he has been made to feel welcome, proud of himself, and is flourishing at the Jukido Academy makes me so happy I could cry. So, in closing, if you are looking for a welcoming environment for your child(ren) to learn respect, self defense, discipline, honor, integrity, service before self, friendship, restraint, strength, humility and kindness, Jukido Academy is exactly what you've been looking for! Take advantage of the free week trial. I can promise that you won't be disappointed!
