When we decided to put our house on the market, we arranged for Todd to come over and give us his thoughts. Within minutes of coming over he told us we would get no more than $499K for our home, to which we expressed disbelief. He brought us comps to compare what houses had sold for in the neighborhood, though they were not prepared by him and were not recent. It appears he had just gotten back from a vacation and had his assistant run some comps, which he didn't bother to check for accuracy. Before leaving he again said to my wife and I, "You'll see your house will sell for $499K. No follow up at all after he left. Suffice it to say, we called another broker over that same day from Village Realty and she immediately advised us that our house would sell for much more. It did! It sold for $575K. It appears that Douglas Elliman and Todd Bourgard could care less about you, your house or anything associated with its sale. They don't do their homework and don't care what your house sells for. All they care about is a sale, even if it's for below market value. What a bunch of tools!!

Bryan, the…read moreleader of the team is arrogant, condescending, and doesn't listen to to the needs of the client. It's all about him. His second in command had a completely unprofessional melt down when confronted with discrepancies in the team's reports. The other two people on the team appear to be quite nice -- but are clearly not calling the shots. I wound up ultimately placing a property with another agent who was able to get more than 20% more than what Bryan Midlam assured me was possible. A really negative experience. I really don't trust them.
