I used to go here quite a bit when I was attending Hampshire College nearby, and would frequently come to the Movie Theater at the Village Commons because it was less crowded than the Hampshire Mall multiplex (usually jam packed with UMass/Amherst students). My FAVORITE movie theater in the Valley though, was the Academy of Music in Noho. Anyway, I digress. There are quite a few good restaurants at the Commons too, AND, it was convenient to grab a lunch bite here when I'd be on campus for my Mt. Holyoke class. read more

How can I possibly be the first person to review the Village Commons? This place has been here more than 30 years and the biggest mainstay in the area outside of Mt Holyoke College. Stores include Chinese food, Sushi/ Ramen, American, Mexican, Froyo, Deli and convenience, clothing, a bar, theater, bookstore and more. There are even apartments mixed in above. If you are in the area definitely check it out. Something for everyone. read more
