Holy mackerel. This is a new go to when I need my pastry fix. Woman at the counter was extremely friendly when I told her it was my first time, she gave me a French baguette on the house. I also ordered the strawberry corn cookie & kouign amann -that was my FAVORITE. Everything is so so delicious. Also love that you can see the kitchen in the back. There is a seating area if you decide to stay and eat.

Orange croissant and drip w steamed milk and honey.... Mine so I BIT IT!

I'm gonna be slightly upset upon returning home and not having this place to come to each morning! The absolute best bread and pastries I've ever had. It's so fresh that when it's gone,it's gone and it's made the good stuff...if you know, you know! The coffee side was ok as well but the bakery is surely the star of the show!! Hailey was the best ever, she works on the bakery side and each morning greeted me with a smile and she's very honest and knowledgeable about the things they offer.

i haven't been here since they were just a walk-up window business but so glad they expanded! their new space is pretty large and includes a seating area to drink coffee and enjoy their baked goods. This is the best sourdough and fresh baked goods you'll find in the area! I appreciate their consistent high quality products and constantly rotating selection. It's a must visit if you're in the area!

Was passing by wanting some pastries and bread. Found this place on Yelp and it seems like a popular local bakery. The line was ok, service ok and helpful. We bought a few pastries which were rapidly consumed. Pastries were pretty good and rapidly consumed. We noted many locals seem to buy large quantities of bread and pastries.

Such a beautiful background, looking East from Greorges parking lot.

Such fun rediscovering them in their beautiful new facility with the huge bakery operation visible to all. The first time we discovered them was 2 years ago when their "bakery" was in a small storefront, hiding behind a single Dutch door that served as their sales counter. No customers were allowed inside. Indeed, there was a long line outside of desperate, carb craving souls willing to face the consequences regardless. You were at the bakery's mercy, peering through a large picture window, picking out your breads and pastries from whatever was left, and passing the money through the dutch door. It had a hilarious, illicit feeling about it. But impressive it was. The facility has moved and grown exponentially since that time. In full view you can watch the bustling activity and processes needed to make each beautiful loaf, pastry, cookie that emerges from their industrial kitchen. It's fascinating. But better yet, their products are phenominal. This is THE place for choosing a loaf of freshly baked bread. Their shortbread cookies are incredibly tender and buttery. What a fun Adventure, well worth putting extra miles on my car, with benefits!

Their Kouign-amann (pronounced "queen a-mahn"), is to die for. The last one I ate was in 1994 in New Orleans. I won't say this one is better but it's on par, no doubt. Out of 5 stars, it gets a 7, I truly fell in love - haha. The crispy outside with soft fluffy inside, finished with the perfect caramelized topping; loved it immensely. I purchased croissants, cinnamon rolls and sourdough bread as well, all were perfect. To top it off, everyone there is totally awesome and extremely nice.

I'm a total regular for the coffee shop located inside, but I also Regularly get the seeded sourdough and treats for myself and all my kids teachers. Really quality stuff!! They use the best ingredients and bake with love. totally worth waiting in any line, or coming early when they still have all the pastries which are all yummyyyy. The staff here are absolute angels and some of the sweetest people ever, part of why I come so often is how welcome I feel and the friendly vibes.

The most INCREDIBLE tasting bread and pastries. I have had many pastries in different countries and this place is easily one of the best I've ever had. Be sure to get there when they open to get your preferred pick. I got one loaf of ancient sourdough, two loaves of classic sourdough, a churro croissant, lemon cheese danish, jalapeño cheese pretzel, and a Pain susse. Will need to come back to try more. All 11/10 They also have a coffee/matcha bar where they use ceremonial grade matcha. Unique and fresh syrups to add as well. Matcha was 8.5/10 Staff is always very friendly and there are a few places to set inside but might need to wait. Nice environment to eat if you can find a place to sit but it is a bit loud.

Wow, didn't realize there was such a place in Calimesa. This bakery follows a European style process where they are minimalistic on the ingredient they use and use alot of organic stuff. Everything baked fresh There is a coffee shop in the same structure, but it's not part of the bakery. The store is well decorated, simple, but élégant with a bright vibrant feeling. We'll lit as well. Definitely stop in., you won't regret it. Staff are friendly and polite, ty William for the chat #ViBN @kaliking806 (IG)

Love this place! Good quality ingredients and lots of pastries to choose from. Guava danishes were really good and fresh. Pumpkin pastry was perfect for the season! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for bread and pastries. Also a coffee shop in the same bldg but we didn't try it this time. Smelled great!

Would you expect a small market to pack a punch with good beer and German food? No? Well, try…read moreGeorge's Market and find out The Reuben sandwich with warm german potato salad was a banger. Meat was juicy, sauce is plentiful, and it all conglomerates into a messy sandwich of deliciousness. Sausages are the other star here. The Spicy Hungarian sausage with mustard was absolutely a banger as well. It's a nice light kick and savory flavor with each bite. We finished off with a Cherry strudel which was not too sweet but still had the nice sugary finish of a dessert. I feel like I'm rambling but long story short, great food, great beer, great time. Have a slice of European cuisine out in Calimesa.

Food: We ordered the half Reuben sandwich with a side of warm German potato salad, a spicy…read moreHungarian sausage, and finished with a cherry strudel for dessert alongside a German beer on tap. The Reuben and potato salad combo was especially hearty and satisfying, with rich, savory flavors that felt very true to a classic deli experience. The Hungarian sausage had a great depth of flavor, savory and well-seasoned without tipping into being overly salty. The cherry strudel was a standout to end the meal, filled generously with cherries and syrup, wrapped in a flaky pastry that balanced sweetness and texture really well. The beer tied everything together nicely, cold and refreshing, and exactly what you'd want with this kind of meal. I still prefer Busy Bees in San Pedro, but this was a nice alternative within the IE area. Price: George's Market falls into a casual, reasonable deli pricing tier. Sandwiches like the Reuben and similar deli items are generally in the mid‑teens range, while sausage plates and hot meals can push closer to around $15-20 depending on what you get. Beer and imported items vary, but overall you can expect to spend about $15-25 per person for a solid, filling meal. Given the quality, portion sizes, and specialty nature of the food, the pricing feels fair. Ambiance: The space is part cozy German market, part deli counter, with a warm, wood-heavy interior that feels inviting and a bit nostalgic. There's both indoor seating and an outdoor area, giving flexibility depending on the weather or how busy it is. Beyond the dining area, the market itself sells a wide range of German groceries and specialty products, which adds to the charm and makes it feel like more of an experience than just a quick meal. Service: Service was good and impressively efficient given how busy it gets. There was a noticeable line when we went (especially on a weekend lunch time), but things moved steadily and the staff kept everything organized without feeling rushed or chaotic. Friendly and straightforward overall. Parking: Parking is one of the easier parts of the visit. It's located in a plaza with a large shared lot, so there's plenty of space and no real hassle finding a spot, even during peak hours.
