It was a little off the beaten track, next to a small canal and a bridge. They had a seafood bolognese set menu with deep fried seafood and veggies for my secondi and a salad for 19€. Seemed a little in the cheap side to be good, the food came so fast that again I didn't think it would be good, but it was great. My kids had the gnocchi in truffle sauce and the carbonara and both were divine! Like I think about them and wish I could go back. My seafood was fresh and tender, the pasta was perfectly cooked and it all just had flavor! The best meal I've had in my trip so far. If you're in Venice, do yourself a favor and try out this very affordable very flavorful restaurant with the nice ambience and super helpful English speaking waiters. They'll make you feel like a million bucks

For the main course we had a pizza veneta (with salsiccia) and penne arrabiata. Then there was also a delicious sorbet, donated by the house! The food tasted delicious, also the wine, and the friendly staff contributed to a pleasant evening.

Similar to the other reviewer, I recently stayed in Castelbrando for my destination wedding! I'll…read morewrite a full review separately for their wedding services, but the tl;dr is that the staff were amazing and really went above and beyond our expectations and my now-husband and I (and all our guests!) had a wonderful experience overall. Brunella and Carlo as leads worked very well with our wedding planner and the whole day went by very smoothly, even with pending rain and some last minute changes/requests. The stay at the hotel itself was so lovely as well. In summary - Pros: - Easy check-in process - able to park right up at the front (temporarily) and unload luggage - Friendly, helpful staff - most of them (all of the front desk and restaurant staff though) speak English - Great room (alcova) with lots of light and lots of space for the wedding party to get ready - Strong wifi in common areas, such as the reception area and lounge - Lots of options at breakfast - hot/cold drinks, continental food items, and hot food such as eggs and bacon - La Fucina restaurant, Donatello Bar, museums, and other areas are fun to explore and hang out in - 24h funicular (cable car) - Lovely spa amenities, easy to book Cons (ish): - The room wasn't fully cleaned until the last day - only the bed was made and the bathroom was cleaned, but the trash bag placed by the door wasn't removed - The room was right below Sansovino Restaurant and so there was lot of noise when tables/chairs were being moved, especially early in the morning - Wifi in the room wasn't usable unless standing next to the door or window - Gelateria was always closed I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I've already stayed at Castelbrando more than once when I was in the area, and I'm very much looking forward to staying here again! :)

The place is impressive, everything is nice from the hotel to the restaurants and the bars. Amazing people working there. There you can also find 2 restaurants : one gastro really good of course and one more informal with pizzas and italian food. I just tried to find something wrong but nothing is wrong here and you should come here once in your life. The place is so beautiful, quiet, romantic and magic. You have also museums, parcs, walking path, theatre and during the summer : ice cream bar. And did told you about the SPA? Well, just come and have a look, you will not be dissapointed.

This cozy little spot for locals, nestled in the hills of the Prosecco wine region, may not look…read morelike much from the outside. When you step inside, however, you'll find a family operated osteria with superb attention to detail and amazing food and a roaring fire to greet you when you enter! This last feature is important if you're visiting on a cold day like we did. It's very important that you make a reservation in advance as you will not be seated without one. We arrived right as the restaurant opened for its dinner service and within an hour of arriving the whole place was full of locals having dinner. They offer separate Italian and English menus which was a big help because not all the staff speaks English so it helps break down the language barrier and makes ordering easy if you don't happen to speak Italian. We ordered four items: Starter: bruschetta (the tomatoes were extremely flavorful and had an oil mixed in that really made the flavor pop) First course:tagliatelle pasta with porcini mushrooms (a local mushroom that accented the pasta very well) Second course: veal cheek (amazingly tender and served with a delicious sauce) Side dish: mixed vegetables (accented the veal cheek very well) I'm knocking off the final fifth star on this review because of an incident with our bill that occurred that was very unappreciated. At the start of the meal, we decided to not order any wine when initially asked by our waiter because we'd been drinking prosecco all day and felt the need to hydrate with water. About 10 minutes later, the restaurant's sommelier came out with a bottle of red from the cellar that he brought us "to try" so we could see if it was something we would want to order. He filled our wine glasses a normal tasting amount. While a tasty red, we again declined to order a glass of wine. When the final bill arrived we were surprised to notice they had charged us 5 euros each for wine. When we asked about this (because again, we declined twice to order wine) we were told it was for the tasting. I really didn't appreciate this bait and switch tactic so be advised that if they come out and offer to have you "taste" a wine you'll be charged for the tasting. Despite this, however, we had a great experience in this little local gem and would definitely return.
