So this review is for the restaurant, as I already did the review for the hotel. Came here for a wedding in August and had 2 epic meals here. First tonight's dinner started with a plentiful charcuterie board, then on to 2 unforgettable house made pasta dishes. The first being a wild boar gnocchi, which had the texture of small pillows which the covered in a delicious boar bolognese sauce. Second pasta dish included a pesto cavatelli, which seems simple, but now I finally understand what al dente pasta is suppose to taste like. After these 2 dishes, it was followed up by a phenomenal porterhouse steak cooked to perfection garnished with rosemary. Then finished the meal with tiramisu, which was light and at a perfect sweetness level and was a great way to finish the meal.
All of that was just day 1, yikes! How does one restaurant follow up that perfection. Well they did at the wedding. First course was a delicious grilled prawn wrapped with bacon served with a cauliflower puree. Second course boast house made cavatelli with fresh tomatoes, prawns, and spinach. Main was a braised pork shank served on top of potato gratin. Lastly the dessert was a pistachio panna cotta served with chocolate sauce and fresh raspberry.
All I have to say about this place, is that it reminded me when food doesn't have to be complicated. It just needs to be simply, real, and fresh. Come to this place and indulge yourself. read more
