After a buttock clenching flight through the Summer thunderstorms between England and Provence, getting the wheels down at Marseilles-Marignanne airfield was the signal I had arrived for Euro 2016. 30 mins later we were signing in at the tres magnifique Villa Baulieu and all the boxes were checked for King-size 4 poster, Air-con, Sat TV, I-phone dock, FWiFi, Mountain Biking, Tennis and a trip to Cézanne's Studio.
There is something about Provence at this time of year that stokes the soul and this Château has some brilliant outdoor spaces for you to chill ur jets whilst glugging down a bottle of Chateau de Beaulieu Rose Coteaux d'Aix en Provence produced at their very own on site vineyard. Sidebar bonus is You can tune up your Oenology skill set !!
After settling in with a bout of mattress bombing it will be time to head in to Marseilles for some Bouillabaisse and a side of malarkey in the City where at least 8 of the 10 commandments can all be broken in one street and no-one, absolutely no-one, would look out of place in Gomorrah. I kid thee not mes amis.
