Needed a quick lunch while on jury duty break. I'm pretty familiar with the area and didn't want to walk towards Fremont St or be by any of the downtown properties. With a quick yelp search, I found Vileo Coffee Bar, just around the corner - literally a 2 minute walk - from the courthouse. Vileo is very unassuming, easy to miss. However, the very definition of a hidden gem. It's a small coffee shop located inside of, I believe, a shared business building, with a very rich ambiance both in decor and food offerings. From velvet blue chairs, to their prosciutto rolyale, Vileo easily felt like a coffee shop where business suits and dresses often stopped by. I ordered the tiramisu matcha and prosciutto royale. The employee at the register took the time to ask me about my day, with eye contact that made me feel like he was genuinely interested, and not just asking because it's part of his job. I think someone else behind the counter caught the conversation as well, because he made sure I knew the baguette royale would take about 15 minutes and ensured I had enough time before going back to jury duty. I took a seat at the first table I saw, which was pretty much in front of the counter and along a glass window looking into a walkway inside of the building. I took the quiet time to catch up on notifications and scroll. My matcha was delivered right to my table. To my surprise, the tiramisu matcha was DELICIOUS. So much so that at the end of my meal, I walked out with my to-go cup so I could shamelessly lick the lid where left over cold foam stuck. So much so that I craved it for the rest of the week and tried duplicating it at home. Once the prosciutto royale came out, I was pleasantly surprised with the portion of this. It also came with a salad. First bite into the sandwich was a perfect bite that fit comfortably in my mouth. The sandwich was put together nicely - nice crunch, easy bites, nothing fell out. Prices reflected the rich, high quality experience. There are so many things I'd love to go back for. First and foremost, that matcha. I eyed a nice chocolate twist and other tasty treats as well. Can't wait to come back!

There's a guy at the entrance to all these shops there who welcomed me as I walked into the space. He kindly guided me to where the coffee shop was. "Just go straight down there. You'll see it!" Service was nice. They carry their own baked goods which are baked at their other location. I tried their blueberry scone today. Really delicious and buttery. Probably not healthy for you but it was a treat. I got their toffee nut latte and it was delicious. A tad too much milk for my personal preference in a latte but it was solid. I love the vibe inside the shop. Plenty of natural light coming in! Glad I stopped by.

We arrived right at the opening hour, which is 8am, and there was already a line outside. However, because of the two drink limit they have for every person, the line went by pretty fast. I got my two drinks within less than 15 minutes (yes, I timed it), which I think is crazy impressive considering the line ahead of us. They seriously were like a well oiled machine in there! We tried their blackberry, dark chocolate, and caramello yawttes. Let me tell you, every single one of them was truly a crisp, vibrant, and creamy goodness in a cup!! And when I say it's so well balanced, it's because it's not too sweet with just the right amount of flavor and creaminess--the perfect trifecta in a great latte! One thing worth noting too is that they only use Oatly for the milk part of the yawtte, and as a lactose intolerant girlie, I think that's amazing. While they only offered to-go orders, the space was still very warm and welcoming--I loved the overall aesthetic and vibe of the place. And even if they were so busy right from the moment they opened their doors, the staff were still very pleasant and friendly. Definitely highly recommend! If I can get a blackberry yawtte every day for the rest of my life, I'd be a *very* happy gal. Absolutely worth it.

Its actually pretty easy to find just drive north up the strip and follow the signs to the Arts District which is also a pretty great area to check out before you leave town. Vesta is a coffee shop & roaster which you know usually means great coffee and Vesta definitely delivers on that. I ordered a Flat White and my Son had the Vanilla Cardamom Iced Latte. Both drinks were deliciously creamy and the latte was especially flavorful. We did not order food but everything looked amazing. The shop is pretty good sized with plenty of tables and is open to the roasting room so you can watch and even ask questions. The staff was very friendly and pumped out drinks to the busy shop quickly. There is a small parking lot and ample street parking.

I really love how open and airy their space is with fun pieces of art sprinkled throughout. There's ample seating, a self serve water station, and 2 gender neutral restrooms on site. I also love that the bags of coffee beans and the big roaster are on display for all to admire. This most recent visit, I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and vanilla syrup; it was delicious as always. I also got a churro cruffin to try that was so tasty; the cream in the middle was a surprise! It was good, but I wish I had known there was cream inside so I could've opted for something that didn't require me to take a Lactaid. I do like popping in her a few times a year, but I will say customer service is lacking. I don't think I've ever received overly friendly service, but this past Saturday I came right at opening and the 2 employees I interacted with just seemed absolutely miserable to be there at 7:00am. I get it, I hate mornings too, but this is your job, maybe be a bit more hospitable to your patrons.

That kind of brand recall? Top tier. Now the coffee, it's good, not amazing. You're not getting ceremonial grade matcha or super high end specialty beans, but it is yummy. Service is typically great. They ask all the right questions to make sure your drink is exactly how you like it, which I always appreciate. And the vibe? Always executed. But I feel like they might have been better off having one long bench with tables and chairs. My 3 year old immediately saw this as an invitation to play and jumped up and started playing with their tiger chain art display. Obviously that wasn't the intention of the design but it seemed like a bit of a design flaw. And of course I grabbed my kid once he started treating the place like a playground. When we got up to the front of the line I was finally able to see the pastry case and not a single item was labeled. No name, no price. I jokingly said I liked that we get to create our own name for the items and was met with a blank stare. You would think with such long lines that they would expedite the ordering process by having these items labeled? At the very least let me know what it's called! I had to guess and order based off of observation alone that made ordering take longer. Customer service was sad. No one smiled. No friendly conversation. Lots of blank stares. Side note, I noticed so many customers ahead of me very confused about which drink was theirs. Maybe try writing on the cup what the drink is for them? All in all, coffee was good but the food was nothing special. Bread from the 3 sandwiches we ordered were a bit stale, especially the everything bacon egg whatever sandwich. Blueberry scone was flavorless and bitter. This is disappointing when you're spending $60+ on food and coffee. Will I return to this location specifically? With my son, no. For food? Maybe not. For some emergency coffee while out shopping by myself that is better than makers and finders? Perhaps. ***EDIT TO ADD*** Management reached out here and said to contact them. I did that and never heard back from anyone.

I was told to wait a moment and I said sure no worries. I patiently waited and waited until it was over 10 minutes and also realizing there's another car behind me. So I moved forwarded to the window and at this time it is now 9:20am. When I pulled up to the window. Worker 1 (Asian girl with glasses and short black hair) was just standing & leaning with her back against the drive thru window. When she noticed me, I told her that I was waiting for over 10 minutes there for someone to come back and take my order. She stated they were "busy" with only 6 customers in the lobby but no line at the register? And that she was talking through the intercom but didn't hear anything? Weird. Cause it was just find 10/15 minutes ago... I explained that she could have checked in and apologized for the wait but she did not do that. I asked her am I able to get a discount for such a long unnecessary wait? She chuckled and said "no." And then walked away. (SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL) Worker 2 (white girl with glasses and nose piercing with blonde highlighted hair) came over with my coffee and I asked her if she was the manager. She said "yes." I tried to explain the situation and she completely cut me off right away not wanting to hear me as the customer out. She explained she heard it all and she doesn't have the time for this and that I was initially being aggressive (BIG LIE TO MAKE HERSELF FEEL ON TOP OF THE SITUATION). I told her I clearly have not been aggressive from the start and how ridiculous it is to for the both of you to not take accountability of this situation. Now I am extremely mad because she decided to escalate the situation but cussing back and forth. Instead of hearing the customer out and apologizing about it, I was told to leave because they had "no time" for any of it. I have been coming to this location for years and have never once been treated like this. And on top of that when refunding me because she rather do that than putting her ego aside and taking accountability, she shorted me $2. My order was $13 and change and I gave $15. When receiving my money back. I didn't not receive the whole $15. I got mistreated and stolen from, from this location by these two workers who refused to give me their names. I DO NOT recommend coming here for your coffee needs. It is absolute disgusting behavior these two so called women had. They absolutely need RETRAINING on customer service and definitely RETRAINING on how to act as a manager of the establishment. Completely disappointed. If I could give ZERO stars, I absolutely would with this review!
