I've been a diver, instructor & dive shop owner and have a pretty good grip on basic equipment. It's been awhile since I been on the water & a lot of things have changed. But fitting a mask doesn't. As I'm explaining mask fitting to my wife a salesperson comes up, interrupts me mid sentence & usurps the conversation. It wasn't a hi can I help you, can I answer any questions or anything of that nature. We had questions about other gear that were answered with a lot of information. Then instead of listening to what I wanted, I was steered to other gear I wasn't remotely interested in. Considering the hard sell tactics, maybe she thought pricing would scare us away. If she would have listened it would become apparent that I knew both the brand and aware of pricing. We came to buy. What caused us to leave empty handed was rudeness, lack of respect and ignoring what my desires were. Bottom Line? Top brands: Check, Well stocked: Check, Knowledgeable Staff: Check, Customer Service: Eh, not so much

Initially, a booking fee of $20 is charged to secure the reservation, and the final payment is collected after the balloon ride is completed. Our initial booking was canceled due to high winds, but we were able to reschedule for a later date without any hassle. Our pilot, Mr. Heff, was very knowledgeable and kept us engaged throughout the entire flight. Standing in the basket during the ride felt safe and comfortable, and the entire flight was incredibly smooth--almost like gently sailing through the sky. The views of Albuquerque and the Rio Grande River were absolutely amazing and made the experience truly memorable. After landing, there was a small celebration with champagne, which was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend Rainbow Ryders to my friends!

I got a confirmattion text the day before and the van with the balloon was at Starbucks well before we arrived. It departed at 6am. Ride was great and workers were helpful. The one red flag is the duration. Groupon said 4 hours. It lasted from 6:02am got in the air and all and then were driven back to Starbucks ny 7::42am. Really nice guy, but if I'm being completely honest, I feel he cut it short so he could save his propane, get us back on the ground so he could squeeze in another booking. Beyond that it was a great first time experience and much knowledge was shared. The duration difference of what we actually got did leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Its lined by houses with 8 foot fences on either side. We teed off and shot across the park to the other side. It didn't take us more than a couple shots to realize most of the course was this back and forth. The holes over lapped in such a way to have people crossing each others paths to each hole. I'm sure that was in due part due to the limited space. There were numbers and signs missing from a few of the holes. We would had to walk around in circles to find the next tee box. We still had a good time. It was a hot day, but hey, that's why be played a 9 hole course. I would recommend it. If you go more than once you will know the route so the missing signs wont matter.

Overall, the trail is not anything too steep, just long at over 8 miles round trip and a 3500 elevation increase and the trail easy enough to find on the map via google maps or alltrails.com. It took us about 2 hours 35 minutes to reach the top of the trail where the plane crash is and about 2 hr 15 min on the way down. Seeing the plane crash site is worth it and humbling, although I probably won't take this one again for awhile. Others met La Luz at the top where the trail connects and loops back around toward Pino (about 16 miles). The views in the fall are just wow- the leaves changing, the sunlight, some water in the creek. Watch out for bears, snakes, and poison ivy, other than that you'll be fine! Bring plenty of water and start off early enough before it gets dark (the parking lot opens at 7!). Help me- my legs are still sore 2 days later from this lol 2020 #32

The caveat is that the final approach to the U-Mound gets more complex and I gave up. But there's a consolation prize: the term "U-Mound" is apparently also used to refer to the general rocks in the vicinity, which are approachable via the easy trails. Given the incomplete maps online and reviews of the difficult trails around Embudo, the TL;DR take is that you should look for the 401 trail if you're into scenery but not trying to re-enact some grim 2012-era Sundance movie. There are many elevation options. While I didn't see wildflowers in April, there was a great cacti assortment. Geography note: there are buses relatively close to Copper Trailhead but the ABQ Ride schedule is not generous. As of press time there were no post-sunset buses so I took Lyft.

They had two parking lots, one in the upper area, and a parking lot right next to the trailhead. Sports Systems had a tent in the upper lot and they were demo'ing the e-bikes for that morning. We passed on that with excitement to hit the trail. We applied our sunscreen and geared up for a ride. The weather was perfect! We were a group of 4, and we hit the trail. We were 15-20 minutes into our initial climb and I realized I wasn't ready for such intensity. I've been a road bike rider for many years, but mountain biking is a whole different animal. Once we were in the trail a ways, it became a bit easier to navigate. However, the ride back to the parking lot was uphill almost the whole way. We rode about a total of 3.5 miles. I enjoyed seeing the walkers with dogs, the joggers, and other extreme fit mountain bike riders. The views were spectacular of the mountains and also looking over the city. In my opinion, I would say this was not for novice mountain bike riders. I was a bit out of my league here. Unfortunately, I even took a fall at the very end with the parking lot in view. All is good thankfully.
