It has lots of Florida beach house type of decorations at good prices. This store isn't as pricey as The Pear Tree, nor does it have as "classy" a selection, but it has lots of really fun stuff. Example: The back corner has a "Tiki bar" that is just full of fun stuff: masks, drums, steal drum CD's, Margaritaville signs, windchimes, etc. Lots of great stuff to decorate a Florida beach porch. Completely cute store - not to be missed on this strip.

Suzy is a thief, a liar, and a scam artist. I worked for her a few years ago, for approximately a…read moremonth and a half. Throughout the course of my employment with Suzy, I did not get paid any of the wages that I was promised. I witnessed several concerning events, such as the man living in the storage closet and the way that Suzy would speak about the children at the camp. On one occasion she called a 6/7 year old girl, and I quote, a "Cunt". I found this not only unprofessional, but also extremely disturbing. Additionally, she charged several families hundreds of dollars up front for her summer camp, then shut down her business and never gave refunds. She claimed to have previously worked for Boeing as an Airspace Engineer, but upon further investigation she was pretending to be a different woman who was named Suzy and ACTUALLY worked at Boeing. She also claimed to have cancer and be on Chemo but I then saw her drinking alcohol at coconuts. Do what you will with this information, but I highly suggest never working for this woman, giving her money, or allowing your children to be around her.

It is modeled after Build-A-Bear AND they charge BAB prices - $50!!! The only problem I had with that is they don't have BAB options. There is only one Mermaid shape available. The S formation. My granddaughter wanted a mermaid that looked like it was swimming but there were no options. You pick from the empty forms that come in several different tail colors. Then you add a bikini top, also several color options, add hair, also several color options. Then you draw a face on the Mermaid. Next you stuff it. The young lady helping us , Veronica, was awesome. She was patient and soft spoken and very encouraging to my 4 yr old. She took over the stuffing, because it takes a LOT of stuffing!! Then they sew up the holes that were open for stuffing. Veronica let my GD help her do the sewing which my GD loved! Then come the options to really individualize your Mermaid. This is where they failed miserably. There was a basket of beaded stickers. We used that for a necklace. There were two plastic organizers with beads to string. We made a bracelet out of those. That was all there was to decorate. If you are going to charge BAB prices then have BAB accessories. You can buy 100's of little accessories from Oriental Trading for pennies. You're at a beach! You're making a Mermaid! Have some sunglasses to put on - or for that matter some clear glasses. Have a beach towel - roll up scrap material and glue to the arm. Have some surfboards. Have some fishing poles. There could be endless little additions. Bottom Line: it was way over priced for what they offered. Would I go again? Maybe. My GD likes her Mermaid and, Well, I'm a Grandmother, which means I'm a sucker for putting a smile on my GD's face, even when it is overpriced.

UPDATE: I just heard from the store manager, the REAL MANAGER, not Pamela!! He's beside himself…read morewith embarrassment over how my friend and I were treated last night! His name is Scott. Scott took the time to call us both to talk to us about how terrible he feels about how Pamela behaved. He said he's going to take care of this situation to the best of his ability. He said he was able to get the store video and was very shocked at what he saw. He then asked his other manager to view the video to see if what he saw seemed correct. She agreed. He also contacted the cashier who was there and asked her how things went last night. He didn't lead on about the situation because he wanted to see if she would say anything and yes she did. She confirmed what he saw and he said he's totally embarrassed by what Pamela did. I just want to personally thank him for trying to make things right. He's a very kind man and he made it obvious he's very experienced at his job. I told him how much I enjoyed shopping there and how I was thrilled with the products and prices and how disappointed I was to have to leave my cart like that. Over 3 dollars!!! But it was the principle of the matter. He totally understood. The chances of my friend and I going back to Ollie's is very good but I told Scott, I'd call first to make sure he would be there and that Pamela would be off that day. In my opinion what she did to ruin everything for us, I think she should go and find a job that makes her happy. She was obviously miserable there and even said such as she said she wished she could leave. Be my guest Pamela. Don't try to ruin good people's lives like you wanted. To actually call the cops to have us trespassed? Shameful. Well I hope things change and I hope one day to be back at Ollie's again some day. I really loved shopping there today! The prices were amazingly good! The selection of products, fantastic! I spent over an hour in the store loading up my cart with my friend who is a senior citizen. She put a large box of coffee pods in her cart because there was a large sign with a price of 16.99. We were checking out and the cashier rang up 19.99. I advocated for my friend stating there is a sign up saying 16.99. A very stressed and angry looking employee came over and said there's no sale on the coffee. I explained there's a sign saying 16.99. She left and came back with the 16.99 sign. She said the sale expired 3 days ago. So I asked why the sign would still be displayed if it expired. She said it was her fault for leaving the sign up. I said don't you think you should honor the sign since she forgot to take it down. That's when she got very nasty and asked us to leave the store. With that I decided I'm leaving my cart. I said here I've got a cart full of stuff probably 200.00 worth, plus I had a 10.00 off coupon if I opened a credit card which I was going to do. I said for 3.00 you are losing a great deal of money. Really? I asked for the manager. She nastily said in a loud tone, "I'm the manager!" "Pamela". She pulled out the name tag on her shirt for emphasis. Next thing we knew she's talking loudly on the phone saying "there's ladies in the store causing problems and being obnoxious and need to be trespassed!" I was shocked. I told her not to worry because I would never return to this store again. Wow! I can not believe such a fun trip turned out to be a nightmare thanks to this manager. I tried contacting customer service at corporate but there's no telephone number. You have to email them after putting in all your personal information. Ridiculous. I'm guessing that's why she's such a nasty person. She gets away with it. But the sad thing is, how many people has she ripped off with that deceitful sign up for 3 days after expiration and how many other signs for sales is she not honoring. What a criminal thing to do. Yet she gets away with it because she's the only manager and there's no corporate telephone number. What a sad shame. I'd 100% go back to Ollies if this manager retired. I think she's a thief and a nasty one at that.
