The offerings on the menu were limited and were kind of pricey so we decided to try the All you can eat (AYCE) option which was 17 euros per person from 6 to 9pm. The AYCE option came with its own menu so we wrote down the # of all the sushi pieces we wanted to try. The fish selection was limited and really only the salmon tasted fresh. We tried various nigiri (only 1 pc), hand rolls, big rolls (theres only 2 roll options (one veg and one not)) and maki rolls. The tuna did not seem fresh at all and seemed like it was sitting out for awhile as it had a dark discoloration to it that I was not used to seeing and it didn't taste fresh too. The place is pretty small and fits a handful of people. The place was about half full and I think the table behind us also did the AYCE option but ordered everything off the menu so the service for our food took a lot longer then we expected. After we finally got our first round we did place and order for a couple more rolls and it seemed like it took longer then expected again as there were only 2 people making the rolls behind the counter and I believe they were making for the rolls for the larger table behind us as well as a bunch of take out orders that came in all of a sudden. All in all, the price is a good deal for AYCE sushi but the service was extremely slow and the menu options were too limited for me to be coming back here anytime soon.

Since german food is usually not strong on spices it seemed like the taste had been brought down from the Vietnamese food offered in Canada. We had the shrimp and chicken cold rolls as an appetizer. The chicken was dry but the rest was ok. The sauce was the highpoint of this dish. As a main course I had the chicken curry. The curry had a good taste. It was indicated as a 2nd level of spicy out of 3 but it really was a 1 in my taste. My girlfriend had the pho and it tasted what it was supposed to. Overall a good experience that cost 23.70 euros for 1 appetizer, 2 main meal and 1 soft drink.

Every time I stopped by there to pick up some food to take home (and it's been quite a few times), the service was really friendly, the food was made very quickly on the spot and it all tasted great when I got home. It seems to be run by pretty young and hip vietnamese people who are super friendly, and the prices are really low for the quality and quantity of food you get. All in all, this place is highly recommended.

I've passed Le Quán hundreds of times and was always curious to try it out. I finally got around to…read moreit for lunch with a colleague and can't say it was worth the wait. I was surprised when the menu consisted of almost entirely "leicht scharf" items. I know from past experience that "mild" at any restaurant in Germany is code for "bland". Sure enough, my Ga Curry was disappointingly not spicy for a Vietnamese restaurant. Luckily, they have mini sriracha bottles at each table to help somewhat (even the sriracha is watered down out here). The vegetables were probably the best part of that dish. If that was the only problem, this place would be a solid 3. However, the service, specifically the attitude, is what knocks this down to 2 stars for me. The cashier taking our order probably wouldn't have noticed if we'd shown up in full clown outfits. She also weirdly assigned us a table instead of letting us choose one (we ended up between the cashier and the pass). Our meals came out a good 5+ minutes apart even though she had asked if we were eating together. The kicker, though, is when they forgot my colleague's spring rolls. He requested them after 30+ minutes had passed and was given the full-on attitude treatment from the waitress. After another 15 minutes, he ended up asking for a refund from the cashier, who also served up a nice dose of attitude herself in lieu of an apology. On the way out, I was picking up my plate to put it on return cart when the waitress gave me a nod of the head as she was passing by to indicate she'd pick it up. No words, thank you, or goodbye. If I'm in the area about to pass out from hunger, I might give Le Quán another try. Prices are definitely on par with the other options in the area. However, I'd certainly not go out of my way to come here again.

Food was good but not worth the money. Service was relatively average and although the location of…read morethe restaurant is great, the place is rather dead. FOOD: Great menu! A lot of interesting options gives a very nice first impression. The food is good but completely overpriced. It lacks the nice spicy taste of asian cuisine and it is not very traditional. Also I've noticed some Vietnamese restaurants have started adding onion crumbs into their buns (yeah those you add to hot dogs and other junk food). Unfortunately my dish had that unwanted ingredient. Until this point I had already thought of giving the place a solid three stars; however, the dish was full of hairs and eye lashes which cost them a good rating. SERVICE: Slow, careless and unfriendly. Unfortunately these are the first words that come to mind after eating here. The waiter was way too serious and rather unhelpful. Showed no patience and just wanted to get the job done. Also although we were initially alone in the restaurant it took forever for them to take our order, bring our food and later to take our card. A change in attitude (or staff) might help this restaurant improve its service. LOCATION: Hoheluftchaussee is one of Hamburg's nicest places to go out for dinner. It is very lively and there is a lot to choose from. However this restaurant is rather spiritless. On a positive note the place is big making it perfect for big groups and spontaneous visits without a reservation.
