My sister-in-law took care of the casket spray. I spent well over $500 for 2 "Papa" arrangements to be at each end of the casket and another arrangement for a different sister-in-law. Family visitation was scheduled for April 9 at 9am. service at noon. The flowers were delivered to the funeral home on April 8th at 2:30pm. By the next morning the flowers were wilting and browning. Called the shop immediately no response! The owner is hateful and very difficult to work with!!! My husband & I plus others were shocked at the pathetic heart shaped arrangement I paid $350 for from my son. Never do business with this place the owner changed her story every time I spoke with her. She and her employee were on speaker phone ao I do have witnesses and photos even the pathetic ribbon.

I'm a pretty big fan of off-the-wall, random attractions in the middle of nowhere. The Super Museum…read morefalls perfectly in that category! Know ahead of time that Metropolis, IL is cute and charming as heck. But besides this, there is pretty much nothing else to do besides Harrah's Casino, so I'd recommend it more as a road trip stop rather than spending a weekend here. You can easily be in and out within 2 hours max. The Super Museum, however, was a LOT more than I expected! This collection of Superman memorabilia is insane, and has so many pieces that are decades old, from many of the films, and some random, quirky stuff. The tickets were only about 8 bucks and you can spend as long as you'd like in there. They've got a pretty awesome gift shop, too! This is a really neat attraction to stop at if you're driving through Southern Illinois!

I am not a hardcore Superman follower. I went in not knowing what to expect and walked out genuinely impressed. This is not a polished museum experience. It is an enormous, sprawling, slightly overwhelming collection of Superman memorabilia that someone dedicated their entire life to assembling. Much respect to the passion and dedication this took. The front of this establishment is a gift shop packed with Superman (and other superhero) giftware. If you want to see the actual collection you pay a little extra and head into an entire different adjacent room. This space if filled with little trinkets all the way up to full collector pieces, costumes, props, and items spanning decades of Superman across every format. They even have pieces from Lois and Clark, the 1990s TV series, which I absolutely watched as a kid. If you are anywhere close to Metropolis, just go. Budget an hour, pay the few dollars, and go see the "museum". You don't have to be a Superman superfan to appreciate the sheer scale of what one collector put together. It's worth the detour. Up, up, and away.

Eight hours into a 12 hour trip. It was 4:30 PM on a Friday. Everything was about to close. We googled the problem and found a video showing that the drain plug gets clogged and could be fixed by loosening the clamp and sliding something down the drain line to open it. Ken and John were there when I walked in and explained the problem. They figured out what I needed, helped me complete the task, and gave me a pair of pliers to adjust the clamp to reattach the drain line once cleared. They didn't charge me for the material used to clear out the drain line. Or for the pliers. When I tried to pay for the materials, they wouldn't accept any money and told me to pay it forward and bless someone else! It's part of their ethos as a business. They even offered my kids popcorn while I worked on the project! I haven't had an experience like this before. It's so wonderful to receive help from people who have a passion for helping others. If you're in the area, stop in and give them a visit. Extremely knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond--thank you Ken and John, and to Rusty's Home Center!
