Our first room was very spacious but had a slight plumbing problem so we were moved straight away to a charming room with a wonderful view. framed by gorgeous casement windows. All the modern conveniences you'd expect but in a wonderful setting. The grounds are extensive and well worth a wander. Ate in the restaurant as we were quite late arriving and the food and service were excellent, and very reasonable too. We will definitely be going here again, would recommend it to anyone. Could find no real faults with the place.

It is a basic hotel, but its location is right downtown and is very central to most activities. The room provided a comfortable bed, good hanging space and mirrors, a large comfortable bed, TV, but no phones. The Bathroom is large and has a very deep tub/shower. The tub is slippery getting in or out. No wash cloths, and only 1 large bath towel and 1 hand towel for the two of us Free coffee and tea in room as well. The Inn provides a buffet breakfast for extra which we did not try. There are many eating places very close by. We were quite happy with our stay and encountered no problems. Would recommend.

I wasn't quite use to the British toilet and mechanics which was frustrating to me....lol Located downtown near bars, liquors stores, restaurants, shopping centres you name it. Sundays everything closes early. There is a lovely kebab restaurant 2 min walk from the inn if your fighting the late night munchies where the owners are just wonderful and entertaining. The view from my room was just beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend if they are ever visiting Cheltenham. Oh and the dollar store is right across the street if your looking for emergency toiletries.

Here are my ratings: Location (5 Stars) - Right downtown and an easy walk around High street. Very dog friendly and very nice front desk staff. Bar (5 Stars) - Gorgeous inside bar area, which we saw both from ground level and via the upper catwalk to our room. Service was friendly and engaging. Patio (5 Stars) - Steller outdoor patio on a very nice day. We relaxed with our drinks and never wanted this experience to end. Dinner (5 Stars) - As fine a dining experience as we had during our week in the Cotswolds. We took dinner in a very nice dining room with comfortable seating and excellent meal choices. Breakfast (5 Stars). Breakfast was in the dining room and featured good selection, nice dining room, timely service, strong coffee, good portions, and tasty choices. You can't do much better than that. Accommodation (4 Stars). One thing we found about historic UK Inns is that climbing up the stairs with luggage is required. Yes, they'll help you, but we're starting to get a little old for this. The room was a big small, but we really appreciated having both a bedroom and sitting room, which accommodated our different sleep schedules.

The couple that run the place are 1st class, the breakfast was excellent, the place is very clean and modern, but with an old wooden style too. The garden is impressive, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby, as they do not cook evening meals. They upgraded me to their master room, without any prompting from myself - because they were quiet - and they gave me some of their homemade cake to take to work with me. The bed was gorgeous, the surrounding area is gorgeous, the place is gorgeous! We were welcomed by a very helpful trainee receptionist and provided with all of the information required for amenities, meals and the location of our room. Parking was close to the hotel and ample. The hotel was extremely hot, which was somewhat stifling considering the decent outdoor temperature. We were very grateful of the complimentary upgrade to an executive double room on the top floor. The view over the golf course and towards the Malvern Hills was phenomenal, especially during the sunset. Besides the occasional hair dryer late at night and a couple arguing, the room was pleasantly quiet. The room featured ample storage facilities, a flat-screen television with the usual Freeview selection, desk and coffee table with armchairs. The bed, although not completely solid, was rather firm; achieving a decent level of comfort was quite a task. The room could have benefitted from a lamp on both bedside tables, rather than just the one. The room was largely clean and well-presented. Complimentary Wi-Fi, although temperamental, was decent enough to enjoy streaming music and video. All too often these days a hotel will save on space and water costs by installing a shower cubicle, however we were very grateful of the presence of a bath tub. In addition, the bathroom was spacious and clean. The complimentary soaps were of a decent enough quality. I would thoroughly recommend staying clear of the breakfast buffet if you are a fan of the full-English. The quality of items did not in any way match the price, particularly the questionable sausages. We did not take the opportunity to visit the Hotel's restaurant or make use of the room service, but the menu for both seemed to provide some interesting items above the usual bland hotel fare.
