Do not recommend this place for first time daycare kids…read more Neither the teachers nor the director is prepared to handle new kids. Will let the kid cry it out in their chair starting from Day 1. No compassion showed towards kids, nor the ability to teach kids. They can only handle daycare ready kids. So if your kid is new, be prepared to pick them up by 10am, since the crying new kid is disturbing the other children. Also, have backup child care, since the school can remove the child with no notice whatsoever.

Can't say enough about the great care that Miss Alice, Miss Katie and the team provided for my kids. Especially through the pandemic creating a safe, clean and fun environment for all. Weekly themes and activities. Don't think they promote as much as they do for the kids such as bringing in external music, drama and sports programs, holiday shows, family days, and summers filled with daily fun activities including Monday guests like petting zoos, magicians, ice cream and water ice trucks etc, sports days, fun house/water slides and field trips to places like the zoo, aquarium, legoland and so much more. Also a great community of families that attend too. Check out their FB page to get a glimpse of some of the activities and energy. If you're in the Oaks area, they have a sister school that is also great and has been around for some time! We spent a summer there prior to WELC's opening!

The school admin wasn't interested in fixing the setbacks experienced by parents ( plural because I had happened to speak with many more former parents about their bad experiences). Still, they weren't willing to speak up because they were hoping for a better review from the school as the kids went to private. My son's teacher was obnoxious; she had no respect for anyone. She applauded kids who were socially outranking each other and didnt appreciate the introverts or slow speakers. As a bilingual family, we were frowned upon, and our son's personality was constantly pushed around as a delay or blaming it because we were bilingual. Our interactions with the school during the parent meetings were dry. There was zero compassion and interest in your child's attitude. Extremely short days and holidays took a significant toll on us because we never felt our kid had a constant school day to settle, make friends, or learn anything. The Montessori concept is working in silo for most hours of the day; I noticed my son would pick the wrong items to match or do something terrible that wouldn't get corrected because Montessori meant independence. I witnessed this when I was there for Mother's Day. My heart is sad and angry at the same time as I type this, but I am thrilled that my eyes and brain worked at the right time before we made a mess with our son's life. He is so happy at his new school.

I have been at Berwyn Montessori for over 10 years with two children attending. Before coming to…read moreBerwyn I looked at 17 alternatives and sat in the classrooms of all of them for an extended period prior to selecting Berwyn Montessori. My experience is that Mrs. Shultz is the ultimate caregiver and her team are exceptional. They taught my children how to approach life, how to learn, and always ensured their safety. My first child had ADHD challenges and was dyslexic and brilliant (145 IQ), my second child was legally blind. Both are doing incredible in school and life due to Berwyn. They learned math, reading, writing, social studies, biology, and cursive, and advanced in social skills and manners beyond their peers. Each did better throughout grade school because of the foundation this institution provided. I can truly say neither child would be as successful as they are today without the care and guidance she provided. They celebrate and respect the cultural differences between families (mine is Hispanic) and learn the customs of Chinese New Year, Divalli and Yom Kippur. My 16-year-old still reaches out to her for direction and advice. My 11-year-old still asks to go to her summer camp over other potentially more exciting camp options. The children design and pick their graduation performances (speeches, songs, and dances) themselves and learn to speak in front of others and express their individuality and their views. They make their own pinatas and cakes for all of the parties. We have attended every graduation since 2009 except one and all were safe, fun, family activities. Mrs. Schultz has always put our family first, has never shown any political bias to our kids, and brings the kind of experience of child development that you cannot find in any of the big-box institutions. Her safety so far exceeds the standard and your child will be a well-behaved, self-aware, deeply educated member of our society. You will not find this elsewhere.

Mrs Sara, Liz, Caitlin, Mrs Susman, Mrs brin and so many more go over and beyond for the families of Chesterbrook Academy. Safety at Chesterbook is clearly a top priority for the children. I wholeheartedly recommend Chester brook Academy. I also couldn't be happier with the growth and care the children received here. I've seen the curriculum and attention provided at every level of the center, and I've been impressed every step of the way. The kids literally run into the center each day, excited to see their teachers and friends. The staff also does an amazing job preparing the children for Kindergarten. I truly see the staff as an extension of the family. I am so thankful to know them all.

My experience as a mother at The Learning Experience in Audubon has been incredibly offensive and…read morenegative. The owners of this location, Allison and Annie, have treated my 4-year-old daughter and I with such hatred. After months of harassment and name-calling, the two women proceeded to forcibly remove my daughter from this school without cause or reason. As a mother and an educator I do not recommend this school for your precious children. On one occasion, I witnessed Allison become very angry with my sad child as I left for work. She proceeded to grab my daughter's arm and scream "No!" As you can imagine, this broke my heart. On another occasion, Annie left a voicemail on my phone labeling my daughter as a "bully" because she had a difficult time sharing crayons, as coloring is her favorite activity. My father (also an educator) and I immediately arrived at the school to express our concerns. Allison and Annie were argumentative and continued to name-call without remorse. In addition to these terrible circumstances, this school has closed several times due to rising Covid cases within the classroom. The school does not enforce mask-wearing in young children. They have admitted that my daughter is "great" at wearing a mask but other children are not. When inquiring further information about how I can protect my child, Allison left me an angry voicemail demanding that we meet. She proceeded to send an email that stated: "After much consideration we unfortunately have made the decision to terminate this relationship effective immediately. We will mail your daughter's things to your home." Sadly, we are not the only family who has experienced such hatred from Allison and Annie. Many families of whom we are in close connection to also admitted how terrible the treatment is. Please do not send your children to this school. These two women appear to be kind with a smile, however, they are extremely mean-spirited and harass parents, especially hard-working mothers. I have made several attempts to contact the corporate offices, as well as the general manager, Nicole. Unfortunately, there has been no returned calls or emails.
