We were able to plug into community quickly, serve regularly, and work alongside those in the church to serve the city. I love their heart for the city and people. They know they aren't the right fit for everyone and are happy to recommend other churches that might be for those who come to visit. They also pray for and uplift other ministries and churches and the work that they're doing, which I appreciate. The sermons are biblically based and I always walk away learning something about a passage I hadn't thought of or understood before. The pastor does not believe that we are eternally secure. He believes you can lose salvation if you don't obey enough. He considers following Jesus what saved you. Not by grace through faith in Christ alone as Ephesians 2:8-9 clearly states. Salvation is not a gift of God according to him but only according to our cooperation in obeying. I talked to him myself and this is what he said.
